If Jimbo gets fired that'll actually be a really good opportunity for ND to start picking off all their commits and maybe even getting a few transfers. A&M will be a complete dumpster fire real soon.
Jimbo’s buyout is something $90 million after this season. That’s some SERIOUS serious money if the oil daddies can pay that bill.

I wouldn’t count on it. Most of those commits are gonna follow the money.

First time in a long time he has liked some stuff related to ND on twitter
I doubt winning is making a difference between OU/aTm/ND but if it does become a factor, ND cannot afford to spit the bit in Vegas next week and go back to square one.

I think the difference is trajectory and defensive play.

A&M took a huge step back by getting blown out of the water by Captain Blackbeard and his pirate gang from Stark Port. OU has also now shown to be defensively inept on back to back occasions against less than stellar competition. It wasn't just that these 2 teams lost. They got DESTROYED.

It also helps that ND was off this week and Freeman and crew were on the road and able to take time to get in these kids' ears more, so there's already that hovering over them, but now they're seeing the primary two teams implode this week after talking to Freeman. That's a pretty damn good combination for ND.

Agreed. My worry is that some (not all) ND fans think everything is cool now after the UNC win & they’ll finish 8-4. Make no mistake, the BYU game is huge.

It's all about culture.

A&M hired a guy who let the culture in Tallahassee erode to toxic levels and they expected something different?
Aggie Boosters: “Our culture is toxic, so this should be a perfect fit!”

I mean if anything would change their mind I'd think it'd be Texas A&M losing that badly to an unranked team when their recruiting has been up there with Bama the last few yrs, but you never know...

Freeman needs to negative recruit the hell outta this imo. You can't tell me these kids want to join a franchise that's this bad when they recruit this well.

Update……TCU is still scoring on OU.

That said, if A&M ever gets a decent coach look out 👀
The coaches they hire are decent enough but the culture there is so rotten and soft and entitled, driven by boosters who think they can buy their way to titles, that they don’t build teams that can win tough games against hungrier opponents. UT has the same problem.

Latest on Love and Bowen, basically, Love was trending towards A&M but looks to be trending back to the Irish with an unofficial visit set up for Oct 15th. Bowen is for the birds with 3 programs all saying they're confident they'll land him. He gave no timeline on if/when he'll shut his recruitment down and it's anyone's guess where he'll end up.

Anything noteworthy in the Singer article. I broke up with On3... still waiting for my hat

Still much of the same rhetoric that's been following his recruitment for the past half year. Bowen says that ND and himself still have a good relationship, and are on good terms despite his visits elsewhere. He states that ND has been very understanding about the whole thing.

Bowen is keeping his options on the table in case that, "something big time could happen... I don't want to shut it down and then something happens and I'm stuck."

He also said that playing with his brother is a factor in his recruitment.

Bowen does mention, regarding all the rumours about flipping: "I have all the say; it’s just predictions.”

And yet Bowen himself can't string together the following words: "I am 100% committed to Notre Dame." Instead it's some BS about having a contingency plan in case "something big" happens lol, as of there is a school in the country that wouldn't take him at the 11th hour should "something big" happen...

The 2 HCs recruiting Bowen both left for new jobs in some of the most shocking news in recent coaching change history. I think we can at least acknowledge he has some standing there. It’s about being comfortable at Plan B if needed not that someone won’t take him. Do I believe that’s all that’s going on? No of course not, but he’s gotta leg to stand on with it. And he’s done what Freeman has told him to do in regards to visit policy.

I have no clue what Bowen will do but I think it’s A&M then ND then OU rn but he could end at any of the three.
