Hagerstown Indiana to the LLWS! Hagerstown is a little town in east central Indiana. Population 1,920!
I even have to ask. East central…Richmond? New Cal? Where about is Hagerstown?

And awesome for them. What a dream.

Oregon kids got screwed big time. Umpire behind 3rd calls it foul, left fielder stops chasing ball because he sees the ump throws up his hands. Home plate ump says it was my call and it was fair. Winning run scores from 1st base.

Wow awful!

My Yankees are killing me. Holmes blew another one. He needs to be sent down. I’m also starting to question Boone as a manager.

I’m curious why it’s taken you so long?

It’s really not that hard to see. I’m worried as the Yanks are really only a good manager away from another dynasty. Ask Buck Showalter and Joe Torre about that.

But, y’all keep trying to figure this out while the Dodgers or Astros are hoisting your crown, again.

The Mets' pitching is going to be a nightmare down the line. Everyone is healthy again and dealing.

Moreno is wanting to sell... best sports news in a LONG time... please sell dude, you're a tire fire. I just hope whoever buys doesn't buy so they can move the team to Nashville or some such.

Dave Stewart's group is trying to get a team in Nashville I believe. Stadium would start construction in 2024 and would be privately funded.

Very diverse ownership group and a growing city. Would division realignment be necessary is the question.

If it does happen and they stay the Angels I’d prob follow them,… if they pull an Oilers and change it completely I’d prob pick a new team or just give up on the mlb

Highly doubtful. But he could easily pass A Rod and get to 697. Just needs to face enough lefties

Would be close if everything fell into place, but probably not. Would like to see him get there.

Looks like my Pinstripes bats may be waking back up. Not completely convinced, but it looks promising.

This kid is blind in one eye. He is a gamer. I was totally impressed when I watched him against the Indiana team. Rooting hard for this Tennessee team.

Doesn't being blind in one eye ruin your depth perception? That's nuts.

More of this. Continue to make this sport more fun. Please.

Even Dodger fans in the stands were digging this.

The boomer in me (I’m 29) is annoyed all the fans have their phones out. That will be a raucous, intimidating atmosphere in the playoffs if he comes on for a save and the fans actually are engaged.

Crazy night at Yankee stadium. Yankees take a 4-3 lead late, then let the Pirates tie it up the next inning. Top of the ninth the Pirates add four what looks like a win. Bottom of the ninth Judge leads off with his 60th homer to tie the Babe. The Yankees then proceed to load the bases for Stanton who hits a walk off GS.

Babe hit 60 in 153 games. Judge hit his 60th in 147 games. Next up is one of my all time favorites Roger Maris and 61 hit in 1961. Maris did it on the last day of a 162 game schedule. Boone putting Judge at leadoff almost guarantees they can't pitch around him.

The only other HR record I acknowledge is Aaron's all time number. I don't consider Bonds, McGuire and Sosa's numbers to be legit given them were juicing.

Maris is an easy guy to like but there’s little question he was well protected in that lineup w/ Mantle & Co. He turned in two HOF seasons in 1960 & 1961 but then never came close to replicating it before or after. Still he did it in 1961 when no one else could despite all the stress. Mantle was on a similar pace but got hurt late so he ended the season w/ 54 HR IIRC.

You recall correctly. Mantle and Maris were pretty dead even until Mickey got hurt. Mantle may have set the record if he hadn't go hurt. Maris may have benefited from Mantle batting behind him, but you still have to put it out of the park. He felt the pressure and started losing his hair.

The '61 team is one of my all time favorites. I can still name the starting lineup and key backups. If interested, there's a video out there called Pinstripe Power. It chronicles the '61 season. Might be hard to find as it was released on VHS back in the 80's. I still have my copy somewhere.

True story about the video. The wife was working for FP Video, the company that handled production, distribution and sales of the video. She comes home after work one day and asks if I know who George Steinbrenner is. I say yes and ask why. She tells me she spoke to him and he was mad as hell because he got a bill from them and not a check for sales of the video. She explained that the production costs exceeded sales as this was the first month the video was available and they hadn't sold many copies yet. I'm laughing and telling her she was speaking to the owner of probably the most famous professional sports team ever. She thought it was just a pissed off employee of the Yankees. lol

That’s a great story.

yeah if u notice Roger didn’t hit many bombs in STL but he did help win them a ring in ‘67. Go back and look at some of the individual seasons in ‘61 & ‘62 and you’ll find some crazy outliers from guys like Norm Cash, Tommy Davis, etc. Soon after you had the mounds raised and it became a pitchers’ league w/ the likes of Gibson, Koufax, Drysdale, McLain, McDowell, etc.

Found it on YouTube.

Koufax was wicked. The fingers on his left hand were longer than the fingers on his right hand. He said it was due to all of the stretching he did to better grip the ball.

Judge almost did it last night. His last at bat he drove one deep to center, but got under it just a little and it was caught in front of the wall. Maris family was on hand. I assume they will be there tonight as well.

Damn fun team to watch and love that they're the youngest team in the league. Playing amazing baseball right now.

Only three teams have lower payrolls. They weren't even trying to win.

I'm glad they punked the White Sox. The White Sox deserved it.
