I’ll be damned. The Inflation Reduction Act, which does nothing to influence inflation has actually worked! Days later it just went away! 0%!!!

That’s good because for the third time in a row we left the grocery with less food and a $200 bill for two people. It wasn’t that long we had a full cart that cost us $150.

Just wait until the SPR stops pulling 1M barrels a day and starts filling back up (after the election of course) and global grain production smacks everyone in the face when production reality hits the fan. European corn production estimate just reduced from 65MT to 55MT due to drought. Probably lower fertilizer usage contributed too due to high costs and shuttered EU production. Cold and hungry in Europe this winter but we double down on a massive climate boondoggle, I mean, bill. In the immortal words of BTO - you ain't seen nothing yet.

So, the drought in Europe is a big problem and is being amplified by climate change. The solution to that problem is CO2 reduction. If ”conservatives” had not gone off the conspiracy theory deep end denying the problem all of this could have been avoided and the change to our energy production could have been much more incremental. As it stands now infrastructure planners are assuming 10‘ of sea level rise in the not so distant future, in that sense “you ain’t seen nothing yet” is pretty appropriate.

I haven't seen a lot of news items or social media activity trying to state that Biden is somehow the "mastermind" of this whole thing. However, many people have stated that for something of this level of significance would've almost certainly meant that Biden was aware of this operation. Biden has denied any knowledge. Maybe that is true, but it would seem unlikely.
I'm not talking about the FBI going after whatever documents were at Mar A Lago. In general, pick a lane. Either he has dementia or he's a radical left mastermind. It can't be both.

From what I have read, Garland's DOJ has been close to leakproof when it comes to information. There is a very good chance the White House didn't know and I hope that's the case. If they were aware, so what? It's still not the same as Biden "commanding" the FBI going to Florida to sift through McDonalds wrappers looking for classified documents, even if that's what millions of goobers think is happening.

Maybe I'm not clued into the right Social Media accounts, but I've not seen anything where anyone is stating Biden is the mastermind behind anything. Some people might be claiming that Biden's administration is behind this, but I really haven't seen that as well. But Biden is barely functioning at this point. President Biden is not running the show. But that's been clear since day one.

Most of what is being implied is that the FBI and the Dept of Justice are compromised and that there is a double standard for investigations.

I'm not going to make a flag of Biden's head on Rambo's body any time soon, but I saw the video of him speaking to the flood victims in Kentucky and it was pretty far beyond "barely functioning." Also saw the one getting off the helicopter where he couldn't get his jacket on. I think the truth is he's going on 80.

We live in different times.

I'm curious, then, what the protocol would be for the DOJ to inform the current POTUS that the previous POTUS was going to be served with a warrant by the FBI. What would be required of the DOJ in terms of notification, if anything? Who is on a need to know basis?

White House is abusing its power to suppress the voice of opposing voices. Glad to be back to principled norms.

It’s probably the most blatant display of abuse of power ever. Nothing anymore surprises me.

Let’s checklist/summarize Joe’s term:

- Afghanistan fucked
- Everyone’s hard work for savings being flushed
- the border is a mess, fucked up
- the economy has hit new record retardness. Check Joe.
- Crime is unreal. What did you think would happen? Defund now refund…huh? Explain this, somebody (preferably Bloat’s highest level of EDU)
- COVID is still a thing
- Hunter smoking crack out of his butt hole
- compromised as fuck on the world stage. See bullet point above.

What am I missing? I’m sure there is more fuck up and absolutely still more to come.

The answer to everything is deflect or blame Trump. Never substance. Blah.

Speaking of and all things considered, I guess I’ll conclude my rant with one simple question…why would anyone vote for this? Is it because “orange man bad”? Honest question because if you didn’t see it coming then you in part own this mess.

The White House interns took a break from calling opponents fascists to highlight this gem.

I did 3 hours at the food bank this morning and had 250 families in that time. It’s insane right now. People can’t afford food.

But hey, perhaps one of you super informed people could explain this one to me-

Heard on the radio yesterday that the possibility of Joe running again are very high.

I love negotiations, but I can't imagine the pressure of multiparty negotiations with stakes this high. Thank you, President Biden, for helping guide all sides "to Yes" in the rail negotiations.

I'm neither pro-union nor some fucking, woke anti-work moron, but I am pro get shit done for non-zero-sum gains. I'm glad we have principled intelligent leadership in place rather than the orange moron and his unqualified sycophants,

This kind of stuff convinces me that we have no idea who is running the White House and the country.

Saw that yesterday. This is at least the second time his handlers have gone back and reversed a comment he's said in the last week or two. I support Taiwan's independence, and while I wouldn't welcome a war halfway around the world with China I'd agree with Biden's initial point. I'd probably try to hit China with diplomatic sanctions first.

I'm pretty sure its a salami slicing policy change. We can't change our policy to actively supporting Taiwanese independence because it would be too big of a change from the status quo so China could likely win the public sentiment battle. But our previous policy of strategic ambiguity has allowed us to now slowly move towards that policy while maintaining that nothing has actually changed and its impossible to prove one way or the other.

The bigger question is why the change and the obvious answer is that right now we know how vulnerable we are to chip shortages. Until we get to a point where we are able to on shore or near shore enough to cover domestic demands, we need to ensure Taiwan does not fall to China. With the strategic ambiguity policy, we would have allowed ourselves a way out if China were able to achieve a fait accompli. Now we have eliminated that choice, which likely takes the option of a simple fait accompli attempt off the table for China. That may have been a risk Xi was willing to take given their general economic state and the likely resulting domestic political pressure. This puts us in a better position because many of our military changes for the pivot to the Pacific will be coming online around 2027. After that point, we will likely have the edge in any battle.

The idea that the White House has several times this year come behind Biden to correct him or further clarify what he meant to say is fascinating to me. Who is running our country?

At least we know why they walked back him saying the pandemic was over.

I remember orange man getting blistered for using EO's. His must have been for evil purposes while Joe's are for the good of mankind.
