Five year old rec soccer is basically rugby. If your child isn't in the scrum, soccer is not for him or her.

My two oldest were not in the scrum. One is now a golfer and the other a gymnast. My youngest owned the scrum, turns 7 tomorrow and is playing club soccer on the 8 and 9 year old team.

My best advice is delegate snacks for after the game to all of the parents. Every family takes a turn.
Not really my experience, at least with my daughter.

Trying to see how Casemiro fits the Ten Hag system. We'll find out soon enough. United now has quite a few players from the Real 2015-28 side, albeit five years after their peak.

It was a move for financial reasons. They didn't double his wages, but he's right up there now with deGea and Ronaldo. Can't ever blame anyone for taking the money if it is there.

Haven't see the numbers, but heard it wasn't double his Real salary, which was 10 million a year (previously I saw it was 5 mil a year, my bad). Highest salaries at United:

1. Ronaldo - $26.8 mil (hopefully gets a deal with Dortmund done soon)
2. De Gea - $19.5 mil
3. Sancho - $18.2 mil
4. Varane - $17.7 mil
5. Martial - $13.0 mil

Let's say it's on par with Varane. He'll come in and get dropped in the starting XI as an upgrade to the worst player in their starting XI, playing alongside his on field partner for the national team. As long as he plays a majority of the games, it'll be worth it. Again, if it were another winger, I'd be pissed. But CDM has been an issue for years and managers keep trying to force McTominay in when he should be sold. Casemiro is a better defender than Fred, making Fred the box to box midfielder and then you have Bruno or Eriksen as the more offensive minded one.

Dortmund? First I've seen that. Anything of substance?

Real recoups what they paid for Tchouaméni. Now they'll replace Casemiro with Jude Bellingham this January or in summer.

Brilliant business.

Very curious as to why Real chose now to sell.

I hope so. It's been a few different places. I'd imagine Ronaldo would have to take a paycut, but the appeal of doing damage in a fourth big league might draw his ego in.

I thought I heard Bellingham was leaning towards Liverpool next summer as a Keita replacement? It's still early, everything changes in a year.

Not sure why Real chose to sell. It is a bit worrisome that they really didn't give much of a fight. They said he's earned the right to chose, so I read that as "we have a replacement, feel free to get off of our books".

Dortmund's CEO came out and said thanks but no thanks on Ronaldo.

Word was Tchouaméni was leaning to LFC and he signed with Real. I believe Keita's contract is up and he still hasn't signed an extension. Keita or not, LFC has an aging midfield but Real seems to get who they want these days when it comes to midfielders. Still, Tchouaméni and Bellingham are the elite kinds of talent that anyone would want.

United have spent a lot of money on players. There isn't really a plan other than that it seems.

I've seen the CEO say "I love him as a player, it's certainly a charming idea. To see Cristiano Ronaldo play at Signal Iduna Park... But there is no contact at all between the parties involved. So from now on, you should stop talking about it,". He's not saying it's not going to happen. He's saying they haven't contacted them (which I think is crap, Mendes has been contacting everybody).

It is very strange that 25% of Reals side from a few years ago is at United. It goes to show how far out of top tier soccer they really are. Players that are around 30 want one last big contract. Teams like Pool, Real, City, etc. all have young players so they won't pay as much as united who are so damn desperate they'll pay a ton of salary.

Ronaldo is a cancer. Dortmund's manager is about the same age and I don't think he can possibly handle an ego that massive in his boot room with the guys Dortmund have on their squad currently.

As good as he still is, the baggage and drama just aren't worth it. Not to mention he's getting $510K a week.

Shit, he should just go to PSG at this point. They have the money and they'd get a ton of money from promoting Messi w/ Ronaldo.
I think everyone would love to see them play together, if only just for a season. There will never be another Messi/Ronaldo combination at their peak in my lifetime.

Tyler Adams has been the best player on the pitch for either side today for Leeds vs Chelsea in the first third of the game here. He’s an absolute menace out there.
Really? I have it on, but not watching it closely. Aaronson seems to be a menace right now.

Aaronson has been that in the final third and might be their second best player for me today too (prior to that post, goal puts him ahead). Him and Rodrigo have been very active. Dan James has stunk it up.

I’ll be curious to see the final stats but Adams has broken up any attack of substance Chelsea has had really

Bring on Pulisic at the start of the 2nd half please. What does Tuchel have to lose ar this point? The attack for Chelsea has no creativity, basically relying on Jorginho to serve balls wide then cross back in

Fulham and Leeds have yet to lose, American invasion in force. Too early to make any clear predictions, especially since the bottom 3 are all clubs that should be competing for Euro slots. Would love Leeds to make some noise and aim for top half and Fulham to secure their stay in the Premier league for back to back years for the first time since Dempsey was playing there.

Most importantly, nice to see Celtic secure an early position as sole #1 in the Scottish table.

Soccer streams on Reddit have all games on stream. If you can handle the initial pop up’s. I rarely miss any game I want to see

Hesgoal is a good backup site for euro games,… for Celtic I rely on Paramont+ but they only show about half the matches
