Sam Webb told them they’ll never have a top class again and to expect this one possibly as low as 30.

This post reads identically to IE rationalizing the RKG recruiting era and it’s underwhelming recruiting. Poor skunks.
Maybe Michigan is shopping down that different aisle, now that BK left the store.

This made me chuckle from the Wolverine on OT recruiting:
“With Charles Jagusah, Kadyn Proctor, Cayden Green and Logan Howland all going elsewhere, Michigan is in the process of resetting the tackle board entirely.”

They have only one OL commit, an OG. And have literally no OTs in sight. Just a couple weeks ago they were saying they had Howland as a sure thing if they missed on all the other OTs.
After they missed on all the top OT targets they went 100% in on Howland & EJ started his spin about how great he was and underrated. Then Howland passed on Michigan. LOL

So Michigan has 1 OL commit, leads for maybe one other 3 Star interior guy, and has zero OTs on their board.

That’s some awesome recruiting…

That means there are a couple more programs getting high 4 stars and 5 star kids - ND included, right?

Michigan was recruiting top 100 (Consensus) DL John Walker out of Florida, and EJ kept saying the main competition was UCF because it’s close to home, so Michigan should be able to win out.

Well, he just put in his prediction for UCF and says it doesn’t look good for Michigan.

Michigan has offered 85 DL (27 DE & 53 DT and 5 ATH/DL) in the ‘23 cycle.
They have a commit from low 3 Star Brooks Bahr (563). They also have a commit from an athlete who will play DL who is not ranked 4 Star.
Elston struggling over there.
Keep in mind they tried HARD to flip Keeley.
They thought Houstan was a lock.
They pushed for Vernon hard.
They tried flipping Traore from BC before Nd did.
Swain (‘24) is from Michigan.

ND offered 33 DL and got 4.
All ranked, 2 in top 100.

ND got 12.1% offered.
UM got 2.4% offered.
That’s some more awesome recruiting…

Michigan has offered 48 OL (31 OTs)
They have 1 commit, a Guard. They are 0-31 on Tackles & starting over…

ND offered 11 Tackles and got 3 of them.
ND offered 9 Interior and got 2 of them.
ND offered 20 total OL, got 5….so far.

ND got 25% of the OL offered.
UM got 2.1% of the OL offered.

According to two different sites, Michigan offered all but 2 of 19 ND commits.
ND offered 0 of 10 Michigan commits.

And Michigan did offer Greathouse, Hanafin, Ausberry and Love in case you are wondering…

I could do the same for WR, LB & DB recruiting too.

To continue from above…

ND offered 23 WRs (counting Hanafin & Tease as WRs).
I’m going to give ND 3.5 commits.
Greathouse is a ND commit.
Hanafin is a silent, but Clemson is giving him pause from going public.
So all ND WR commits ranked 4 Stars (now that Hanafin is getting his bumps).

Michigan has offered 40 (33 WRs & 7 ATH/WR).
They have 2 commits. Both 3 Stars just inside the top 500.

ND has got 15.2% of WRs offered.
UM has got 5% of WRs offered.

Michigan offered all 3.5 ND WR commits.
ND offered 0 Michigan WR commits.

Michigan has offered 30 LB (28 LB and 2 ATH/LB).
They have 1 commit.
An unranked 4 Star (no offer from ND).

ND has offered 15 LB.
ND has 2.5 commits. (Ausberry falls in same category as Hanafin above.)
Includes 2 Top 100.

ND has got 16.7% of LB offered.
UM has got 3.3% of LB offered.

UM offered all 2.5 ND LB commits.
ND offered 0 UM LB commits.

Next, CB & S recruiting…

Michigan has offered 63 DBs (28 CB, 30 S, and 5 ATH/DB).
Michigan has 0 commits.
Wait, what?
Yep, 0 for 63. LOL

ND has offered 34 DBs (18 CB, 15 S & 1 ATH/DB).
ND has 4 commits.
All 4 ranked & 2 top 100.

ND has got 11.8% of DBs offered.
UM has got 0.00% of DBs offered.

LOL
I went for an hour run this morning & listened to podcasts destroying Michigan recruiting, so it got me motivated.

When I got home I had an hour to kill while my wife ran & before the kids woke up.

So what better thing to do than going at Michigan?
What podcasts? You know, for science

To add to Michigan’s OL recruiting misery…

Their Plan C kid, Paul Munenga, who is the 727th ranked player on the competition site, had picks in for UM but all the heavy hitters switched to LSU.
Wiltfong, Chad Simmons & even EJ picked LSU last night.

I guess it’s time to offer OL 49-100 now?
They are now 1 for 48, 0 for 31 on OTs.

Rowland and Mubanga were their two “sure thing” backups. Oops.

Truly Sad when they won the best OL award last year.

They think they’re getting Freeling despite him never visiting. Delusion

Seriously?’
I didn’t see that.
So get turned down by players outside the top 500, some in your backyard, who your competition for is mediocre programs, who visited your school…but you are going to get a top 100 kids across the country, who is leaning towards a local, elite program, that has never visited your school?
Sounds like a solid recruiting strategy. No wonder they are 1-48.

Not surprising Elston is the lone beacon of recruiting so far in their class.

If Etta finishes in the Top 100 like 247 has him it’s one of Elston’s best signings ever. If he’s in the Top 150 range it should be no surprise even with the rest of the staff doing nothing.

Acheampong a 4 star developmental type. Bahr someone who contribute through his 5 years. Pretty standard.
