Self selecting career path. Kinda gotta be a bit of a jock sniffer to be a loy for a living.Yeah, Tom comes off like an EJ Holland-like fan boy in his Dante article.

yeah i just don't take that as a commitment. "Yeah babe, i want to be exclusive with you, but first i want to go out with a red head, brunette, tall, short, etc etc to make sure you're the right one for me"..... if he was still look we should have been still lookingIsn’t it just as likely that he did want to commit but because he told MF that he still wanted to take OVs MF told him to hold off? Nico gets a bag and then all hell breaks loose?
Is it to his pissing on bk level good?I know people don’t like Driskell & IB, but if you want the goods, the full story, with no holding back, go read his 20 paragraph summary of the Dante recruitment.
Is his papier-mâché forum up again? Hard for him to get more than 10 people in at a time.I know people don’t like Driskell & IB, but if you want the goods, the full story, with no holding back, go read his 20 paragraph summary of the Dante recruitment.
i'm more concerned that he doesn't let something like oklahoma state happen again.MF won't let something like this happen again.
He’s definitely not happy with Moore’s family. Is it to his pissing on bk level good?
I gurantee ND is playing for more titles and playoffs in the next 4-5 years than OregonAlso, Tom quadrupling down on Dante wanting to win a title and that Dante is going to Oregon for that.
Does Tom know how many titles Oregon has won?
2.5 hours from Bandon Dunes. If you golf and haven't been to bandon dunes, GO!!!Is Eugene Oregon known for any specific type of cuisine? Time to get back on track here.
INLaw was referring to, "Did Coach D unleash all hell, like he did back when he ripped Kelly apart after quitting"He’s definitely not happy with Moore’s family.
But no, he actually doesn’t blame BK for this, but I was waiting for him to.
I’m guessing the thread about the Dante backstory will crash it.Is his papier-mâché forum up again? Hard for him to get more than 10 people in at a time.
No, not that bad.INLaw was referring to, "Did Coach D unleash all hell, like he did back when he ripped Kelly apart after quitting"
To sum it up for everyone, it was one of those "watch what they do, not what they say" scenarios. Moore commits silently and ND kept asking for him to go public. He wouldn't and kept taking visits when ND kept asking for him to come back on campus for the big recruiting weekends. The CJ commitment/potential reclassication stuff was the final straw for Moores camp and they didn't speak a ton after. Oh well, maybe Dante will find his chest in Eugene. No, not that bad.
He also didn’t say he could be a better QB than Moore like he said he could coach better than BK.
The biggest thing for me was the family not wanting him at ND, even before NIL was a factor. To sum it up for everyone, it was one of those "watch what they do, not what they say" scenarios. Can you confirm this is why he didn't end up at LSU?To sum it up for everyone, it was one of those "watch what they do, not what they say" scenarios. Yeah
I get Tom wants to stay on the good side of recruits. He has to kiss some butt. But this read like a lover letter. You can be professional with kids, while still treating your subscribers as the #1 audience.
It's like Brian's Song, but we all get cancer and dieIt felt like the end of a coming of age sports movie when the kids don’t win but wasn’t the real win the friends we made along the way?
Like Tom I really do not care that you get to talk to him at the Army Bowl lol
Can we get a recap?I know people don’t like Driskell & IB, but if you want the goods, the full story, with no holding back, go read his 20 paragraph summary of the Dante recruitment.
He was a BK supporter back in the day. He’s definitely not happy with Moore’s family.

Whenever a team switches its defensive structure, there's going to be a mismatch between the scheme and the personnel. A new DC can respond to that mismatch in two ways: (1) he can try to retrofit the old personnel into the new scheme, which always involve some square-peg-in-round-hole inefficiencies; or (2) he can hamstring the new scheme so the existing personnel isn't asked to do anything they're not comfortable with.i'm more concerned that he doesn't let something like oklahoma state happen again.
I have high hopes for Freeman as HC, but i'm confused on why people expect him to "not let this happen again" like he learns so quickly?
I thought after the Florida State game he would realize a few calls in his defensive scheme were moronic for our personnel. Instead, we used them over and over again most of the season and kept getting burned by them. I'm going to cringe if Foskey and Justin A are dropping into coverage 25% of their on field plays again. Or we didn't get any young corners on the field last year when Lewis was getting abused by Wisconsin, Cincinnati, USC, etc.
I like freeman a lot, but he hasn't shown the ability to adjust off his original plan.
Here you go (link)Does any one have a good steak taco recipe?
Sure but why not even hide foskey or Justin A when they were dropping, they lined them up deep. Or why have betrand/white/kiser at times at the 3rd level in passing situations.Whenever a team switches its defensive structure, there's going to be a mismatch between the scheme and the personnel. There's no "right" answer to this problem, as either option presents different weaknesses that an offense can exploit. Freeman opted for (1), which got ugly sometimes when we switched to a 3-man front. But simply running Elko's 4-2-5 wasn't an option.
I am now dumber after reading Loy's article....
Because being "multiple" with the ability to shift into a 3-3-5 is an important aspect of Freeman's defense. We were fine in his 4-2-5 base, but you've got to be able to shift the structure in response to what the offense is doing, and we simply didn't have the personnel to do that last year. Freeman decided it was better to force them through some growing pains rather than get predictable. Neither of us can say confidently the predictability of staying in 4-2-5 would have produced better results.Sure but why not even hide foskey or Justin A when they were dropping, they lined them up deep. We'd rush 3 of our slower rushers, drop foskey or Justin A, and drop our LBs, all of this pre snap. The D at times looked amazing when attacking, and other times it looked dare i say it, worse than BVG. We really got lucky playing poor offenses all year.
Look up about six posts. And add Reapers context too.Can we get a recap?
yeah i just feel like we/he should have disguised it much much better. I remember 2nd half of FSU going, "wait foskey is lined up 8 yards behind LOS, there's no way he can even pretend to rush from that far back"... I think he could have done a much better job disguising the defense to give his players a chance. Teams knew exactly what to do when we showed that look, and we didn't modify that look all season. We went away from it a bit, then came back to it vs ok state.Because being "multiple" with the ability to shift into a 3-3-5 is an important aspect of Freeman's defense. Thus, "growing pains." They obviously weren't going to be great at it the first time they tried to implement Freeman's defense.yeah i just feel like we/he should have disguised it much much better.
