Oregon is the favorite here correct?
Rashada if ND sources are correct about Moore played his cards better than anyone besides Nico NIL wise. Miami, LSU, Oregon, A&M are all chasing him with Holstein Bama bound and fingers crossed, Moore ND bound.

Even before the LSU BK era started…….the QB development/performance has been well below par for quite some time (with the exception of Joe Burrow, of course). Makes one a bit bleary eyed trying to understand how anyone could say that the QB development there has been anywhere near good, let alone crazy!
Yeah that doesn't make much sense. Burrow aside, LSU hasn't produced a QB in awhile. As for the current staff, I guess Denbrock gets some credit for Desmond Ridder. But their QB coach came from Louisiana Tech who won eight games the last two years and their coach got fired. And then there's Kelly.

Rashada's just blowing smoke here. Hopefully straight to Oregon.

An alleged 9.5 million. I am shocked some kids haven’t moved to Cali or other states to capitalize on the difference in laws.

It’s sort of fun to watch college football implode. I really do not see this ending well.

Rashada has been open about NIL being a priority for him. He was transparent and honest about it and played the market well. More power to him as far as I am concerned. $9.5M is life changing money.

and he fanned a good ole fashion pissing match between two schools wanting to show who’s bigger between Florida and Miami.

If I’m Tyler Van Dyke I’m now worth $10 million plus. Hope he’s got John Ruiz on the phone now.

So the questions I have are.

Did Miami want Rashada more? If so, ouch for the once golden boy. Or, is Oregon paying more?

Moore can’t sign the same deal as Rashada. Miami could have chosen a pursuit that had more pure arms race potential

I hope he’s garbage so the booster gets to eat that debt. There isn’t a high school football player in the world worth that much money. If it continues this way consistently I hope ND bows out of the arms race.
You serious?
Clemson would have given TL 9.5m and laughed to and from the bank.

With this kind of money now the norm, if I’m CJ, I bolt. It pains me deeply to say it. Unless ND is playing, what’s a kid to do? I may stop watching college football. I’m getting too disgusted with it. I’m not against kids making money and perhaps this is just the way it is and it’s fair. I just don’t think I will have interest. It’s their choice to pay and make money. It’s my choice to find something else to do with my time on Saturdays.

Or maybe, just maybe, ND is doing more with NIL than they're letting on.

Who says ND is not playing? We just aren't playing the same. These kids are def. Being shown there will be money for them at ND. It's just not in advance for committing.

Freeman said the other day in an interview we are playing the game. Maybe not to the Rashada level, but FUND is paying ND players a pretty penny. As much as we hate what USC did with Jordan Addison, ND was inches away from doing the exact same thing with Josh Downs.

I think my concern is more “too that level”. If we aren’t too that level, how do you sign a 5 star QB when the poachers come with $9.5 million?

The Rashada deal is possible because he’s from California. It’s legal. It’s also gonna correct itself on its own because odds are one of Nico or Rashada are gonna bust.

Also not every kid cares as much about NIL. A kid like Carr who comes from some money doesn’t need it as much as a kid from backwoods Mississippi. Or if you are to believe Michigan posters, ND is paying Carr $2MM/year. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think in a few years we'll look back at 2022 and say "wtf were they thinking". There will be some very unhappy boosters in these collectives when more than half of these elite recruits flame out.

Can you elaborate on Downs, this is the first I've heard mentioned. At the end, was it a money issue or an admissions eligibility thing?

My understanding is that ND made a competitive pitch (not offer!) about what he could do both as a WR and with NIL if he were to transfer to ND, but he ultimately decided to finish things out at UNC.

ND is doing more for current players than recruits. Some kids see this value, others do not.

So does this kid come in and start right away? How can you afford to pay a kid that much money to sit on the bench for any amount of time?
