So the Prem next year will have Fulham and Bournemouth back, with Nottingham Forest playing Huddersfield for a spot. Really hope Forest can pull that one off. Those fans have been through it the entirety of the 2000s.

Feel bad for Burnley. Sounds like relegation is leaving them in some dire finances.

I'm sure Watford will yo-yo back up.

I for one hope we don't hear from Norwich City again.
Same about Forest. Would love to have them back in the Prem for a bit along with Leeds.

Newcastle did the league a favor sending Burnley down. Fulham can't defend, Bournemouth attack. The last of the Burnley type of era in the PL is done now. Burnley is going to stay down for a while.

I'd rather not hear from Norwich or Watford again. I'd like to see Middlesborough (derby with Newcastle would be fun), Blackpool, Blackburn Rovers make their way up. Luton Town was a great story, too.

Haven't seen him play. Was on the bench twice vs Liverpool. Starting playing often in March.

Defenders now have to be more comfortable with the ball at their feet and the bigger clubs play a higher line (or at least attempt to).

If he is a Dyche type of center back, he's either going to be stuck or there is untapped potential there seeing as how he has played for Stoke and Burnley, two of the more old school defensive clubs in England.

True, but 80 mil vs free, for a worse player. Not to mention, hes older and plays the same position as their big transfer from last year.

This guy is a 22 year old DM coming in to eventually replace Casemiro. He'll eventually start along side Camavinga.

They lost Mbappe and went all in here. They were not going to be outbid.

Seen some City voices I respect say that it may be a family move.
His wife and her family are from Manchester.
If he were to manage at Burnley, it would likely allow his family to settle back in Manchester where they're familiar.

As far as the football fit, no idea how that will go.
Trying to get Burnley to play proper football seems like "in theory" it would go as well as how Stoke City went for managers after Pulis was finally let go. #Disaster

Vinny will always have a special place in any Manchester City supporters heart, and the dream is for him to eventually manage the club.
No idea if this move would help that dream become a reality, but time will tell.

Reports are Leeds already finalizing Brendan Aaronson. I think 30$ million is whollly too much for him, but he’s got the mentality and pace to fit in perfectly in the premier league. With him and Bamford back and healthy, Leeds should have a solid shot to finish no worse than mid table.
Looks to be complete (as far as it can be as the window is not open). Not sure on the cost, can't find anything yet.

Saw this on a Celtic board and it made me smile:

‘Scotland play Ukraine next week in a World Cup play off match.
Virtually the whole of Europe will be without doubt supporting the country that has suffered so such torment and heartache at the hands of an immoral leader and will be hoping for a decent win that would bring the much needed lift to a desperate population.
On the other hand, I'm sure there will be a few who'd prefer a Ukraine win 😂’

Anyone know what's going on with the Liverpool fans at the game? Anything on Twitter?

They closed 4-5 gates and funneled everyone to one gate. Two people checking tickets. They stopped letting people in. Police started tear gassing people

They were not “late”. People arrived 2-3 hours to get in. There are journalists outside recording

Yep. They took down England's top 3 on the way as well.
Quite the narrative that Real Madrid are heroes for some for beating the big bad Premier League. It’s either overrated or it isn’t.

It was over at half when it was 0-0. Diaz got swallowed. They were all over him. Neutralized

One shot in goal is all it takes.

They beat PSG as well which is awesome too.

But your such a victim. Your poor big, billions $ club has people rooting against them. The premier league is the most popular soccerleague in the world by a mile, and it isn’t close. Real Madrid just happens to be the biggest club in the world by a mile. Both will have their haters.

Wow. That’s what I said? Jesus L. Smith, man.

It’s become clear I rub folks the wrong way in this thread. I must come across as an ass, so I’ll fuck off. Let me get one more good post in, though?

It’s sort of ironic the Prem haters are rooting on…Real Madrid to take down English teams. That’s all I’m getting at. But I’m a victim I guess.

I’m fully aware of La Liga teams success in CL and Europa finals. There is competition and money in England, but to be frank, mediocrity at the bottom of the table. The bottom five could’ve gone down this year. The Prem has exposure, a brand, thanks to TV. The others could try the same. Maybe it’s coming.

Realistically Serie A could be making a slow moving comeback. City, Bayern, PSG, Real are poised to rule their leagues for years. Serie A could have parity and intrigue. Just need a flux of cash. Maybe.

Fair play to Real. You win 14 European Cups, you’re royal. Some big English clubs have never won it once.

That’s it. Over and out.
