His 40 time was pretty much canceled out by his scores in the other drills.

• 40-yard dash: 4.59 (tied for 14th out of 15 safeties)
• Vertical: 38 inches (3rd out of 15 safeties)
• Broad jump: 131 inches (3rd out of 17 safeties)
• Three-cone drill: 6.90 (5th out of 7 safeties)
• 20-yard shuttle: 4.32 (5th out of 6 safeties)

His football skills supersede his ability to run really fast in a straight line for forty yards.

Football people know this, thankfully.

I thought this was interesting. Players still on current roster from NFL Draft. This was from 2020. NFL roster is 53 players.

NFL teams have an average of 23.4 of their own draft picks on their current roster.

Another thing is the guys signed to an extension after their rookie contract. The most players on a team that originally drafted them that signed an extension or resigned after their rookie contract was 10 (saints), 9 (Bengals, Steelers, Eagles, 8 (Ravens). The two teams in the Super Bowl that season was the Chiefs - 18 players drafted, 12 on rookie contracts, 6 signed and stayed on after rookie contract. Bucs - 25 players drafted on the team, 21 on rookie contracts, 6 signed on to stay later.

The team with the most players drafted were Bengals, Steelers, Panthers.

Its interesting to see to pick apart if the draft really matters. A lot to consider though. Some team draft well and some don't. It also helps having a top 5 NFL Franchise QB.

That + only 28 snaps in 2020 matchup.

Hilarious we are probably entering back to back drafts of NFL teams massively overthinking a ND kid.

Could be smoke and mirrors. Teams putting out negative stuff so he drops to them.

I hate to say it but I hope we get a draft day trade of Deebo to the Eagles for their 1st rounder this year and 2 and 4 next year. Then the Niners can draft Treylon from Arkansas and have a reasonably close approximation for way cheaper.

Anybody else not a fan of the Thursday night start? I have a hard time getting too amped up for this knowing I gotta go to work the morning after. I'm just getting old probably.

LOL......Welcome to the club. These days I do a quick check of the top 10, then come back to see who the Colts took and where our guys go.

Yea TBH I look forward to Friday night more. The draft itself goes a lot faster and there's usually some pretty good players still left on the board to make it an exciting several hours even though it's a Friday night.

You are still fighting the good fight. I quit long ago. I'll often see a few picks and then go to sleep and read a recap.

But I do the same with nearly all sports except for Notre Dame football.

I totally get this,… I’m blessed with a schedule where my weeks end on Thursday,… so I’m loving it starting tonight. I’ll be dual screening draft coverage and the replay of the Halo game

i dont mind the thursday start but jesus the 32nd pick should be all done and dusted 2.5 hours after the first pick is in. the thing just runs way too long and there is too much time between picks

Absolutely the issue. It's insane the amount of time between picks. If each team were to take the full 10 minutes, it would take over 5 hours. 5 hours for a round of picks is... WOOF. Lower the time to 7 minutes cuts the max time to under 4 hours. Much more reasonable, especially since everyone doesn't take all the time.

Ravens getting Hamilton then Linderbaum is so classic. Some teams always feel like they make the oh well that was obviously a home run pick

I had a feeling Kyle would fall out of the top 10 but expected him to go 11…certainly not 14 but it’s all about needs of the teams drafting in those spots.

I think the remaining domers go as follows:

Austin in 4th round
Kyren in 6th round
Coan in 6th round
MTA - UDFA
Hinish - UDFA
Doerer - UDFA
Pryor - UDFA
Drew White - UDFA
I don’t think Cain Madden gets an opportunity.

1 QB in the first round. NFL maybe getting at least a little bit smarter (though I did like Willis) before the Stroud/Young sweepstakes

Really wanted him in Washington at #11 before we traded out...

Belichick believes he’s smarter than everyone else. Coaching wise he’d be right. Drafting? Not so much. Guaranteed the guy he drafted would’ve been available when they next pick at 53.

Its a small world... I worked at the same duty station with Devon Lloyd's father and was happy to see him get drafted in the first round last night. I wasn't happy to see him go to the Jags because he will be getting his butt kicked by my Colts but still pretty awesome story and a great young man!

They'll both wind up in Canton. So annoying.

Then they get Ojabo in the second round, that mountain of a man Faalele and Jalyn Armour Davis in the fourth, plus the TE from Coastal Carolina with a comp pick in the fourth.
