if our weak president didn't wear panties then the russians wouldn't be in ukraine. if trump was still in charge then we would have peace right now. i know trump said stuff that was wrong on twitter bought he was a tough minded guy and Putin knew that and so again this wouldn't be happening if he was still in charge

I don't trust this State Department or Administration. Their Feb 16th invasion was wrong. I was wrong on Russia invading. I didn't think they'd do it. If the Administration thought otherwise, they would apply meaningful sanctions and would/should have provided more weapons to Ukraine.

Who would have guessed that trusting Russian state media would have been incorrect, and the rest of the West was correct. Surprise surprise.

Consider the source but @KyivIndependent has proven to be reliable so far.

⚡️Now for sure: Ukraine reclaims the Hostomel Airport near Kyiv from Russia's forces.

Sources: Deputy Interior Minister Anton Herashchenko; Ukrainian parliament's Telegram channel.

I read the other day Putin knew sanctions were coming and pulled back a lot of money in anticipation, so the effects of a sanction(s) won't be felt for a long time.

A cyber attack against Russia could be devastating if done correctly. They could shutdown all types of communications leaving the military and government people clueless on what to do next. You could also shutdown the banking systems for several days if not longer. You're basically freezing everyone's ability to act. Russian citizens would not be happy about that.

Paging Ed Snowden....

They seem to be putting a fight that no one expected so far.
Maybe its all the hardware they got recently from the USA. The Ukrainians spiked that tank column with javelins. Wasn't that what Trump was withholding from Zelensky. I cant remember well. Not a cheap shot I really cant remember but it sounds familiar.

That sounds right. I am no military expert but aren't most modern militaries shifting away from tanks, partially because of how easy they are to target?

There is reading history and there is understanding history and it's implications. We live in a world of instant gratification and knee jerk reactions. I am finding that even with people I know to be well educated there there is very little understanding of implication/ramification. There is very little to know critical thinking anymore. In defense of this, it feels as if you have a well thought out opinion, think critically or don't jump in with the mob after watching a 10 second cell phone video, you become a racist/sexist/toxic person and get canceled.

Example, I had what I thought was a nice conversation with someone who worked in D.C.. We got into a few things, one being abortion/rights and My body my choice. I tend to be more middle, but when in doubt lean conservative. I asked not as my own opinion, but as a question for debate, that how can someone say "my body my choice in regards to a human life", but in the same breath say someone shouldn't have a choice to be vaccinated. Without mentioning ANYTHING about my political leaning prior to this, she blew up, called me an idiot, sexist, racist Trump loving ass hole. I have a tattoo on my arm that says "Let Go and Let God" and she proceeded to rip me for loving Jesus.

To her credit, she is right about one thing... I am an asshole. My point being, there is no debate, no critical thinking, no room for learning anymore. If you only get news/info from people you agree with, you are only ever getting one side of the story. I just don't get it
It is a valid question, and the inverse is just as valid of a question. I wouldn't call you any of those things, yet the hypocrisy of both sides in the "my body, my choice" vs "abortion" argument should be clear as shit...but we as people like to "move the goalpost" and conflate things to validate our personal world views...No attacks, just an observation I thought reading the highlighted

I’d love to hear we are giving them real time intel and military advisement behind closed doors. “Yoooo Zelensky The 3rd battalion is pulling up to your front door but if you do this you can flank them and pop their ass with javvies “

Putin cannot afford to lose. It will be a bloodbath before he loses.
How glorious would it be if Ukraine chased them back all the way to Moscow like the Israelis chased the Syrians to damascus in 1967? Take a little Golan Heights size sliver for good measure.

Likely just a matter of time. Ukraine troops may put up a fight at first, but when the bullets run out .... game over

Back in December, the commander of Ukraine’s military intelligence service, Gen. Kyrylo O. Budanov, outlined a scenario in which a Russian invasion would begin with airstrikes and rocket attacks aimed at ammunition depots and trench-bound troops — foreshadowing the attack that came early Thursday morning.

Very quickly, he said, the Ukrainian military would be incapacitated, its leadership unable to coordinate a defense and supply the front. After that, he said, responsibility would fall to frontline commanders to carry on the fight alone.

“They will hold up as long as there are bullets,” Budanov said. “They’ll be able to use what they have in their hands. But believe me, without delivery of reserves, there’s not an army in the world that can hold out.”

Then the west needs to make sure that they don't run out.
