HH didn’t like flying Commercial. Now that MFMMFF dropped his balls on Swarbricks desk about the private jet the University will be providing, Harry doesn’t have to fly with the rest of us cattle.

Do we know if that will be a normal thing from here on? I assume they were using it since it was so close to signing day

ND OL recruiting will be like when the Jedi were recruiting Luke. They send a lesser Jedi (all other regional recruiters) out on the road to make contact but the recruit must go back to that nasty old tree (the Gug) to see Yoda (HH) to become a Jedi (commit)

Does HH have the sacred Jedi texts??

2023 Projected Roster Scholarships: 17

Obviously of the 17 I think Patterson, Dirksen and probably 1-2 more are not here by 2023. Either way though, I think it'll be a small OLine class for the new OLine coach. Whether that's Hiestand or anyone else idk. Kadyn Proctor is the icing if there's a recruiting cake at OLine and I think from the visits it looks like an Iowa, Iowa St, ND battle but there's 9 of the best programs in the country also in his top 12 so it'll be tough. The big victory is the 2 visits already and hopefully by the time he's deciding he's taken 3-4 visits to ND. Samson Okunlola seemed like a fit with his high academic offers but that seems to have gone no where. Actually similar story to TJ Shanahan. Both don't seem to have gone anywhere. Chase Bisontis is a huge one. He played games on saturdays for the most part so he wasn't around in the fall. From what I've read seems like a classic ND, PSU, OSU battle and Rutgers as the local addition. Would be a huge win to get him. Cayden Green is another one I think ND's got a shot at but needs a visit for sure and has an OU CB from Lincoln Riley's time. Sewell visited but I don't think he's leaving the state of Texas. Same with Markis Deal. Charles Jagusah is an interesting one because I've heard all of the right things and I think Loy is ready to CB him almost. Guy could be a visit away with the new OL coach from signing up. Monroe Freeling is another one that I think absolutely loves ND so I really hope the staff stays aggressively on him so he doesn't end up being lured to Clemson or some SEC school while ND is changing OLine coaches. Obviously ND has some more guys to mention like Siereveld, Keenum and Absher who are all interesting prospects and probably not rated because of not a lot of film. For now, I really hope ND goes all in on Proctor, Bisontis, Green, Jagusah, and Freeling and takes as many as want in for this group (hopefully 3 but if Proctor wants in you aren't turning a 1st Round Pick away).

An additional note for some guys that haven't been offered yet.

.9614 4* Madden Sanker - GA - FAR - Never Visited - not the worst thing to take some shorter OC/OG guys who are super talented. Also has Duke/Vandy offers
.9451 4* Olaus Alinen - FINLAND - FAR - Never Visited - Stanford offer and a BIG dude. Curious why ND isn't joining the party for him
.9237 4* Luke Brown - TN - 7h30m - Never Visited - Vandy/UVA offers. Don't know much about him other than a 4* with good books.

Whatever happens for 2023 in the OLine class I think the expectations can be pretty high and I think ND is in position to deliver on those high expectations because I think Quinn put ND in a good spot with a bunch of guys. Hopefully if it is Hiestand there is a plan in place to let him be the most effective recruiter he can be while having safety nets of a strong Asst OL coach recruiter or OC recruiter to make sure there's no lapse in communication with some of these recruits. Also, ND is at the healthiest it's been in forever in terms of depth, numbers, and talent at OLine while also being the best the program has been since Holtz was here in terms of winning. So all in all I think if Hiestand is the guy I think he'll be fine. At least I hope so!

Do we know if this is a permanent change or was the use of the jet due to the hiring of MF[SUP]2 [/SUP]and timing trying to visit commits before NSD?

Edit: Didn't read Calvegas's post until after I replied.

Hiestand expected to see him today. That’s gotta be a nice priority message to him.

On3 & ESPN are both extremely high on CJ.

ESPN: .............. 4* ............. 85 Rating, #6 OT, #73 Overall
On3: ................ 4* ............. 95 Rating, #2 OT, #30 Overall
On3 Cons: ..... 4* ............. 92.88 Rating, #6 OT, #77 OA

Moved up to #92 OA on 247 too. Rivals "only" at #151.

ISD lagging behind, have him at a 3*/89.

Thought I CB'd him here? Maybe I did it in Sully Absher's thread?

I know that the reports are that HH was a tough ass and didn't want t recruit. I wonder how if this had anything to do with Kelly? HH had to of watched the press conference and heard Freeman say if you aren't go to recruit you won't fit here. So it makes me think that there was some kind of tension there.
Freeman is the boss, the ringmaster, Hiestand the assistant the trained seal.

Freeman is a military brat. Hiestand either follows Freeman's orders about recruiting or Hiestand will get fired.

No ifs, no ands, no buts.

MFMF large, in charge and understands military discipline.

Irreplaceable man? Ain't no such animal.

Ha, HH was recruiting and developing elite OL to/at ND before Freeman was even a defensive coordinator at a P5 program. We need to cut the shit on everything good that happens it’s because of Freeman schtik. It’s getting played out.

This ignore feature is glorious. I have no idea what BnF said, but it was likely 8 paragraphs of a rambling diatribe.

Hell yeah brother!

Depending on who's around him and how he grows, I could see him at OG. He's got some DT skills too.
A wealth of potential DL's in that OL room.

Definitely something to keep an eye on cuz HH has a history of settling on a core group and playing them for years.

Love me some wrestlers. Those wrestling skills translate to either side of the ball.
