Was he ranked as one? Yes. But I don’t think he’s that tier of QB talent. He played extremely weak competition as a high school underclassman and we never saw him against top talent. He also performed poorly at the camps he went to in hope of improving his stock. He has no resume to sell me on him and we’re expected to go off of “trust me, bro.”
From what I’ve seen as a thrower to this point, I think his mechanics leave a ton to be desired. He need a ton of development, and I don’t know if he’s going to ever get that.
Pyne’s going to be seen as Notre Dame’s best option at QB by Rees, and I don’t really like him a ton either.
