Damn hard to not be completely behind CMFMF, the energy is so infectious that I couldn’t imagine being a recruit turning him down. He’s the type of energy ND has needed for a very long time.

I truly hope he is able to fight through the new, and new and ever changing world of college football, and succeed at heights never thought of in most of our lifetimes for this program.

We’ve been headed in the right direction for several years (yes reluctantly, credit to BK) with the hires or Elko, and Lea, and now Freeman. But the one thing that really stands out to me is his remarks about bringing out the very most in his team. I’m all about an individual who has done more with less. Marcus Freeman just has a different vibe about him that may very well translate to immediate results.

I could not be happier with the coaching hire right now. He will have mine, and hopefully many of our fans patience while he learns what it means to be a head coach for ND, and a head coach on this level.

So fucking awesome.

ND media team is really bringing the heat recently. I hope this continues. Before we know it ND might be "cool". Imagine saying that a few months ago lol.

Speak for yourself... I'm still waiting on my Stanford ICON.

Feels like the odds of a movie being made about Marcus Freeman or one of his teams is very high. And with all the footage they've already got, they might not have to shoot much in the way of new scenes.

Notre Dame becoming "cool" again would be terrifying for a lot of programs lol.

Coach says the right things...drips charisma... runs a fun defense. No reason a kid should want to go play for someone else if he can get into ND.

Sportscrack.com out with another Freeman shirt already to go with the "Freeman Factor" one they released last week:

The owner is an ND fan. I communicated with him as he was coming back from the FSU game this year.

And, I meant to post this on Saturday when he committed but Rhett mentioned that he talked with Bowden twice a week and Freeman once per week. No mention of Mickens but I'd be shocked if Mickens didn't talk with his position group 1 once or twice per week. So, how do you get 4-5 contact per week out to your top of the board guys? Get 3 people doing it. I can't stress enough how much of a game changer having guys like Bowden and Dre Brown are. We're getting more contact out to more prospects than ever before. #FreemanEra

make sure you get all the 7 gimmies, win one of the toss up games and win one of the games in the lose column that would not be a bad year for MF.

Wins
Marshall
California
Stanford
UNLV
Navy
Boston College
Syracuse

Toss Ups
BYU
North Carolina

Losses
Ohio State
Clemson
USC

I have Clemson and USC in the toss up especially USC. Let's see if Riley can actually BUILD a program. He inherited everything at OU.

OSU might be slipping under Day, 3 full seasons post Urban.

Toss Up Lean ND Win: BYU, North Carolina (was tempted to put as win but Mack Brown has been recruiting well, it's bound to show next year), USC

True Toss Up: Clemson

Toss Up Lean ND Loss: Ohio State

Is Clemson supposed to really bounce back to the Watson->Lawrence level next year? Didn't really follow them too closely this year.

they could have 12 win seasons as the comp isn't great but it is hard to see them being at that 2017, 2019 level.

At this time the only game I would concede is the tOSU game and it will be a close one IMO. Clemson will be replacing both coordinators and shouldn't be at the TL level. I don't see Riley getting USC back to elite status for a few years.

Clemson finished 9-3 this year and lost those games simply because their offense was atrocious at the beginning of the year. As far as their roster at ESP goes they lost 10 players to the portal only signed 12 new players with one hold out on ESP day and lost their AD, DC, and OC. He was going to have 15 but 3 players decommitted after regular season was over. They currently have 60 scholarship players and that may go down to as low as 57 if 3 players choose the NFL.

I think this year will hurt Clemson but I’m waiting to see what Dabo does with his staff and in the portal over the next months. They have some significant hurdles ahead them this offseason.

It almost seems like the timing is perfect for Clemson to decline; Saban is bound to retire at some point and you wonder how long of a leash Dabo has with the Clemson faithful. I could see him jumping ship to return home to Tuscaloosa.

a lot of Bama fans don't like Dabo at all and I don't think the boosters do either. In saying that though his contract has a buyout of 4 mil but its only 2 mil if its Bama that comes calling

Scary part of the new transfer rules - Any seemingly stable program can implode at any time over something as small as even assistant coaching changes.

Doesn't a lot of the fan dislike for Dabo have to do with him beating them and challenging their overall, God-mandated throne of footbaw's best?
I think those fans would be fine if Dabo came home to mamma and won some natty's.

I know they have the coaching clinics, but I’m unsure if ND was doing this before. Hosting top high school coaching staffs to roll out the red carpet to them with one on one time is awesome. That’s how we get back into the top schools.

Especially given that is a NCAA dead period right now. You can't have in person contact with a recruit or their parents? Okay, then bring in the next most important person in their decision making process.
