I don't know if we'll make any progress on Evers. There was a report he asked Napier to not take another QB commit in the class and when Napier said he was open to taking a second, Evers decommitted. If that is true, I don't see why he would join our class as the second QB.

I saw that too. But if that's the case, his options are pretty limited. What school doesn't have a QB committed by now besides Kansas State? I read the Florida boards a little bit and it seems like Napier might not be all that welcoming of the kids committed to Mullen.

There are also theories that Napier is after Walker Howard as a fellow Louisiana boy and has a great relationship with him. Can you imagine if he steals him from Kelly?

I was remaining confident in Scrauth but hard to imagine us locking it down with no OL coach right?

My guess is that they have a plan for who the Oline coach is going to be (or a very short list) and they're going to let Billy know this info to give him an idea

I understand Napier’s theory but he needs people on the roster. He will make this job harder on himself. Take these guys try to get them to your scheme.

For real. They have like 8 commits right now. I would like it if they ended up with 8. Not their current 8, I hope they lose all those, but then sign LSU's 8 leaving Kelly with 0.

I can't see him wanting to come here where we have two young guys with some experience already running our offense.

I have now heard hints several places that there will be more commits to this class. It seems to be beyond the guys we are expecting (i.e. not Schrauth or Moore). Everyone is hush about who they are at this point.

Moore is a different kind of beast though. Also a good chance he would end up at safety.

We have a mostly full class and want to leave a couple spots for potential players from the portal. Other schools don’t have nearly our currently committed talent + saw an opening with Kelly leaving + are trying to throw around NIL money to entice players to flip.

I feel every year there is a mind level ranked game changer dude ND misses out on, and they don’t usually end up being what we thought. The only ones that usually kill it elsewhere are the 5 star types.

Things have seemed to die down on the recruiting trail for probably a month regarding potential commitments. Other than possibly Schrauth is there any feeling we’re gonna be favored for any others? We’ve lost some momentum late, hopefully CMF and the gang are closing in on a few.

Spots are limited, and MF is focusing on keeping the class together. Besides a few big names like Schrauth and Lucas, and trying to gain back Moore, expect a quiet week.

After the bowl game, once we get an idea of who's declaring, who's returning and transfers out of the program, then we will probably see a few new names pop up. Most likely it will be under the radar three star prospects.

But don't be surprised if the Early Signing Period is where we complete our class. The attention will be turned to 2023 and 2024 recruits, and focus will be put into the Transfer Portal.

I really really like Nick Evers’ film. He reminds me of a taller Everett Golson with a little more touch on his throws. Willingness to step up into a closing pocket, big enough arm to throw across the field, but a ton of speed to really hurt you on the ground. I’d be thrilled to add him to the class
