Bowen visited Clemson last weekend and will be at the Cincinnati game. He is also planning on visiting for the USC and North Carolina games with a trip to Auburn mixed in October 9.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say he's interested.

Auburn has only had four double digit win seasons since 2006. I never understood how they always get talked about as some top program. They have solid wins against Alabama St., Akron, Georgia State and a floundering LSU team this year.

I think a lot of it has to do with when it's good in Auburn it's good, but when it's bad they rely on the good years to sell the BS when it's bad.

I wouldn’t say that. Three different ND sites have said that it’s not a done deal & Auburn has really done a great job and are the team battling ND. Loy said, “I still like ND here…” which for him is not a very strong stance and seems he is nervous about Auburn. Singer says it’s close with Auburn, and Bowen cancelled his visit to ND next weekend & his sources have told him Bowen hasn’t made a final decision yet.
So it sounds like everybody is worried about Auburn.

Thinking out loud:

ND wins:
Would be due to ND football being a better fit/overall > Auburn Football

Auburn wins:
He feels that his prospects playing baseball in the SEC would be better in the long run than playing in the ACC

Just feels that if football is king then ND should win out but if Baseball is more important then Auburn wins out. This isn't to knock the great season that our Baseball team had last year. But does anyone know how long he's been in contact with both Baseball programs???
