What do you make of the dead silence on Billy S and Walker Howard? Does anyone know if they stayed through Monday morning? Is silence reason for optimism, or just a coincidence?

I want Walker more than the Iowian Safety. An elite QB is the next step even though our safety position looks scary post-Hamilton.

Loy mentioned Walker told him previously he did not want to do any interviews at this time as he is still an LSU commit

Recruiting Scoop: Notre Dame-USC Weekend a Success for the Irish (247sports.com)

Here is Loy's premium article from the weekend. A lot of great stuff in there for those interested in II.

A few things that stand out.

Trending down for '22 DL Lucas and Kanu.

Trending up for '23 RB's Haynes and Limar.

Player that might have made the biggest move up their board, '23 OL Charles Jagsuah. Staff was really impressed with him.

It’s interesting they are slow playing all the new offers. Kanu did not sound like a take, Tabaracci sounded like a slow play, no new WR offers. Really only 2nd QB is in acceleration mode

I think a lot of the really important recruits were 2023 kids. Not saying Lucas, Xavier, Schrauth aren’t important but Xavier probably wasn’t coming here regardless and Schrauth had been trending to us. Lucas IDK. There were some elite 23 kids and even 24 so I’m not super surprised none of them popped yet.

In 2023 a not insignificant amount of visitors would commit if they could and then Bowen already has an announcement date

Schrauth was also trending Irish because they convinced him to visit, it’s just assumed at that point the visit has to go well but that technically still had to happen.

2024 may have hit a couple home runs too. Sayin, Smith and Woodyard talking three 5 stars that ND will be heavily involved and in top group, and that could be a conservative description

Between the 3 paid sites there have been dozens of updates, quotes, articles, etc. about how well last weekend went. We very well could lead for close to a dozen prospects that were on campus that day.

We very well could lead for close to a dozen prospects that were on campus that day.

Three predictions made on ISD (as mentioned above) who have been typically more conservative with their estimates/CB's than other sites.

Also, the fact there is a big weekend coming up may shake things loose too with pecking order and taking commitments silent/public.

I want rushed commitments now, so that when the decommit I can be upset!!1

A lot of guys threads here could have been updated with positive updates I personally just didn’t for the most part because there was almost too many to feel motivated to lol. So while there was no public commitment or something easy to point to there is like 40 kids you could update on, not exactly silent.

People may also be starting to take for granted Freeman, like close to or put in a CB for an elite CB like Rhett or 5 star safety like Woodyard is ho him dead silence nowadays.

The 2022 class timeline is not one to focus on fall visits. That’s not a ND thing that’s pretty across the board. The COVID rules and continued early signing day trends made the summer of 2021 probably more important than any summer will ever be class wise

I can't think of a single 2022 recruit we lead for. Quite the opposite. Several are now trending down.

2022 class is already a success. Higher average rating, and total score than the #9 overall 2021 class, and with 7 less recruits. And there's still work to be done to go from a very good class....to a great class. Gonna be interesting to see where the chips fall!
