Opening drive too if I recall. Nebraska shot themselves in the foot a bunch, something like 5 penalties for 30 yards on their first drive and wound up with 3 points still. Been a good game.

UC is going to blow the doors off IU in the second half. IU middle linebacker with a ridiculous targeting penalty and entirely avoidable. He even lowered his crown for good measure. You cannot lose your leader like that in this kind of game. Oh well, we need to win and we need UC to be undefeated.

All the usual contenders bar the boring Bama are down this year.
OSU with that roster of 5 stars is a disgrace.

A lot of top teams struggled this weekend. Bama is still the top dog, but we might be seeing a wide open chase for the NC.

Seems like the vast majority of the FBS teams are wildly inconsistent and unpredictable up to this point in the season. It’s still early so I would expect that to hash itself out.

Their RB Ronnie Rivers is a super senior that’s been playing since he was a FR. Will leave with every Fresno record. Their QB Jake Haener is a Washington transfer and has been good for them. That’s about all I know but two very solid G5 pieces

A big reason for the apparent parity is all these 5th 6th and even a few 7th yr seniors populating rosters. Teams that can't recruit HS players with the "big boys" can use open spots for grad transfers and their own guys who are good, but not NFL good.

Could be a great year for upsets then if that's what's happening.

I think my boys deserve to be #1, but I don't think they're head & shoulders above everyone else by any means. I think there are at least 10 teams who could beat them on any given day. Nobody, including Bama, looks particularly sharp and dominant so far. Definitely a wide open chase.

It’s early and I”ll go on record as saying Bama will be in the CFP but maybe it will finally be UGA’s year to win I it all. 1980 was a log time ago. Most of y’all weren’t born yet.
