#1 want for me as well. Really like this kid a lot. And not just as a football player. Every time I see a video or interview of this kid he impresses me. Definitely the type of kid I will root for whether he chooses ND or not.

I too think that he will go to Stanford or Washington but I wouldn't be shocked if he came to ND. He says great things about ND. There's definitely a chance. At the end of the day though, Wills will be in SB, Foster @Stanford/Washingtong and Smith @ Tennessee/Alabama. Just my opinion from what I read and my gut instinct.

So who is the LT then? Wills? Lugg? Kraemer? Eichenberg?

Eichenberg should be the choice in my opinion. When they're upperclassman, Eichenberg and Kramer will make up a dominant left side. Lugg will be your RT with Wills at RG.

Just my two cents...

Wills-OG/DT ..... Lugg-RT ..... Kraemer-LT ..... Eichenberg-OG

The first thing I'd lay $$$ on is Lugg being a RT...

The other three I'll have to wait till HH puts his hands on them.

Let's squash any PSU type talk right now.

I'd put it at ~0% chance Eichenberg ends up at guard.

Yeah, I used to feel the same way until Bars played OG. I also didn't mean that he "ends up there", more like where they start off at. HH is going to put his best group out there and if he's never higher than the #3 OT, he's gonna play OG at some point. Yes, I know a lot of people think that Kraemer is going to be the OG of the two but I'm going with TK at RT in '17. It's all fluid after that, especially if ND somehow lands Smith or Sarell

He's at the top of my list.

He was Wooly's #1 over a month ago.

Very well connected poster on another site had some positive things to say about this recruitment. ND is making a lot of headway with the parents. ND staff is very happy where they stand.

Well that sounds reassuring at least.

Considering how many quality OL we have, I give it a .00000001% chance. Besides, you don't want freshmen tackles on the field. It's never a good sign.

I agree and thank you for your reply. But considering he's the best player in the country out of HS maybe he gets a shot at G?

I mean there is always a chance of him coming in and beating the competition, and he's going to get the opportunity for sure. That said, even if he's the top rated HS player in the country, he's not playing a position where you often see true freshmen come in and play right away. There is a big difference between an OL of 18 years old or one of 21 years old. Let's not forget that we have built one heck of a stable at that position filled with 4-5 stars in HS. He would probably benefit from sitting at least one year anyways.

IF IF IF Sarell chooses ND, I'd hope he'd redshirt and then challenge Tommy, Eichenberg, Lugg (and anyone else from this class) for LT in '18. This is assuming Bars forgoes his 5th year. If he wins the job, then it's 2 years of starting then off to Sundays.
