It's amazing how quickly he's shrinking. Started off at 6-5 last year, then 6-4, now 6-3. I recently saw a picture with him and 6-2, 4 star C, Brett Neilon and they were the same height.

Top 15.... I maybe understand top 10 but not even that. I feel like at this point you've got to have some sort of idea where you're going to want to go

it just helps string along followers and helps increase their followers on twitter....they know where they are most likely heading or have a strong connection with

Did he ever get on campus? I see he was supposed to come last summer and backed out and see he was supposed to come end of Feb (or did he mean March) per GB above

He could be doing it to keep the faculty & boosters happy. When you go to the ND Club of Orange Co. game watch's the 2 hours before the game is nothing but Bosco, Mater Dei and Servite people talking about Friday night's games. It still shocks me what a strong following the Irish have in OC.

You know, I am not sold on this kid. My gut feeling is that as high as his floor is, his ceiling isn't enough higher to make him another Martin, Stanley, McGlinchey, or even Watt.

I don't know why, other than I hate it when they lie about their height by 2+ inches.

...or possibly 3".

Regardless of that, he's performed very well in all the 1 on 1 camp settings and well against a top 5 national HS schedule. I'm sure most in the guessing game... sorry, recruiting business would say his floor is Chris Watt. If accurate, he's a take all day.

So this dude is 6'-6'1"? Is his weight accurate at 320?

He's 6-2 with cleats and a high top fade.. He started out 2 years ago as a 6-5 soph OT... I think hoping he'd grow into it but that didn't happen. Nike measured him at 6-3, no way. You make the call from the sequence of pictures below...

Here's Davis with Brett Neilon who is listed at 6-1.5 - 6-2:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Catch your boyz on the court😤 #100%beef <a href="https://t.co/C2zHiaBEq4">pic.twitter.com/C2zHiaBEq4</a></p>— Brett Neilon (@brettn110) <a href="https://twitter.com/brettn110/status/687821452494544898">January 15, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Another picture of them along with "6-1"( more like 5-10.5) WR Terrell Bynum:

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Great day at UDub🐺💛💜 <a href="https://t.co/w2OaWG6IzL">pic.twitter.com/w2OaWG6IzL</a></p>— Brett Neilon (@brettn110) <a href="https://twitter.com/brettn110/status/714687477727043584">March 29, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

And here's Neilon next to Sheldon Day who per the NFL is 6-0.5: Mystery solved.

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Met the man, Sheldon Day. <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/GoIrish?src=hash">#GoIrish</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/hashtag/beast?src=hash">#beast</a> <a href="https://t.co/Uxtl6jwVbK">pic.twitter.com/Uxtl6jwVbK</a></p>— Brett Neilon (@brettn110) <a href="https://twitter.com/brettn110/status/683454572761747456">January 3, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Always a good sign seeing that his twitter picture is of him wearing an Alabama visor. I like our chances here.

You mean one or the other right brother man?

I also read it as committing, but I think he meant that Wyatt will be taking visits to the good guys (us) and that dumb team (them) in the spring or summer.

Also visit OSU and Michigan. He basically drooled over talking to Urban Meyer. Glad he's not visiting for the II because now he will get the red carpet treatment to himself

Surprised none of us ran across this before...

https://n.rivals.com/news/thanks-to-family-five-star-wyatt-davis-no-stranger-to-spotlight

Wyatt's Grandfather is HOF DE Willie Davis of the Packers. Pretty impressive guy. After his football career, he got his MBA from Chicago. He sits on numerous boards including Manpower, MGM & Sara Lee. Former board member of Kmart, Dow Chemical, Johnson Controls and Schlitz. He owns All Pro Broadcasting which oddly enough has two stations I listen to regularly. 101.3 The Mix here in SoCal and WLUM out of Milwaukee, a great alternative station.

As accomplished as his Grandfather is his Dad is even more recognizable as a football player. But you young kids around here don't know nothin' bout no Alvin Mack!

How can you be in Ann Arbor on the 17th and not make it to South Bend the next day to hangout with 30 other All Americans? He's gotta be at II whether he likes ND or not just for the photo op.

“I plan on coming up there on June 13 and spending a couple of days there,” said the 6-5, 310-pounder from the class of 2017. “I’ll be up there with my dad. I’m definitely looking forward to checking out the school that I consider is the best of both worlds. The degree and the football. They are always going to be in it and every single year they have a great shot at winning a National Championship.”

“Coach Hiestand is great,” said Davis. “He’s been out here a few times, especially during spring ball. I talk to him every week. Just checking in. We talk a lot. I’m looking forward to spending some more time with him when I get to campus.

this is about HH
“I really like how he’s, well, I wouldn’t say old fashioned, but he’s all about that old school style of football, ground and pound, aggressive offensive line. That’s what I’m all about. I really like him.”

RE: dj morgan
“He’s been recruiting me a lot,” said Davis of Morgan. “Every day he tells me, ‘Come on baby. Notre Dame. Let’s go.’ But yeah, I talk to him a lot. I’m close friends with him. It definitely makes it more comfortable knowing he’d be there if I decided to go there. It helps my interest because there is someone there that I’ve known for a few years now and became close with.”

BK
“I saw him come by the school once. It was pretty crazy,” said Davis. “I think he was in town for D.J.’s in-home visit. I didn’t talk to him or anything, but man, just having him come by the school and seeing him in person was pretty crazy. I haven’t really talked to him much, but from the little time I’ve had, he seems to be a great coach and he’s really genuine. D.J. says he was really honest and upfront about everything with recruiting, which I like.

That couldn't have been worded any better. All the right guys are saying all the right things. I told Crazy B last night there was zero chance Davis chooses ND. That's not correct. I'd put it at 10%.

If HH can land one of the OT's Sarell, Smith or Thomas and then one of the OG's Davis or Wills that would have the OL stocked better than any unit in the country.

Not a shot at Heistand but that's not exactly how I'd characterize the O-line's we've had under him. Considering we've had great pass blocking but struggled in short yardage situations "finesse" is the word the pops into my mind.

Then a 5* OG? I don't think so but glad to know you have a man crush on Daley

Wills will be a better college and NFL guard than Davis. Therefore, they can do better.

I have no man crush on Daley. He's second level on my list like anyone with eyes. ND can sign Beal, Browning or Echols, will they is the question. If/when they don't, that's when you better start man crushing on Daley.
