Is there any movement at all on who the new coach is going to be??
I agree with you on all points here, but I still believe the NCAA should "investigate" and punish Baylor on an athletic level while they are going through the legal process. I believe the criminal prosecution and civil cases to be much more important than the NCAA side, but that doesn't mean the possible NCAA sanctions should go away.
Did anyone else happen to catch the irony that one of the reasons he's resigning is because of a sex scandal?

Kind of like after an army finally captured the sieged town. Everything of value was plundered. Then every living thing that remained was killed. Finally salt was sewed throughout the rubble to keep anything from growing again for so long that the place would never be rebuilt.[/IMG]

Delenda est Carthago, or, in this case, Baylor.
Most of these dudes won't play as freshmen anyway. If I didn't get my release I'd go to the school of my choice and sit out the first year. Or file with the NCAA. I mean we've seen waivers get granted for less.
It's going to be amazing to witness how quickly Baylor goes from "Competitive and Talented" to "Trash Once Again."
They might be decent this year if they stay healthy. But they will have no depth after '16 is done with. They're going to go back into the sh*tter post-Briles if they don't make an amazing hire... and I don't think Baylor is a school that can support another miracle hire like Briles was, unless someone is reallllllly enticed by the idea of "Power Conference."

Starr gets sacked as President but gets a "percussive promotion" to Chancellor in a press release. A position he already held.
Then when more flak appears he falls on his sword because "it happened on my watch".
BUT ...
He'll continue on as a Law Professor in a funded chair at Baylor Law AND as a member of the Board of Trustees in one of the colleges that make up the university.
It's incredible that a Washington D.C. veteran who was on the receiving end of the Washington Two Step, "To the best of my recollection, I have no recollection" he needed three takes and a time out to to jog his memory.
And so he'll teach law for a fat 6 figure number. It should be ethics, Baylor style.
"One side in a political conflict is no different than another. If they were, then they wouldn't be in conflict in the first place."
"The basis for creating a good political conflict is taking a panful situation that some poor folks find themselves in and finding a way to stretch it so every dumb ass from every shade of the spectrum can find a way to express a meaningless opinion about, so as everyone can ignore the pain an suffering of the original aggrieved parties!"

Who would take a job in Waco? With what Baylor will obviously face?
No fat lady has been singing; it ain't done yet. Remember that.
Even for umpity billion dollars, nobody with any moxie is going to snap, until all the dust settles.
