That's what I was thinking. If BVG is directly involved in the scouting and offer, he must really like Alston's potential in zone coverage.

"It means a lot," said Alston. "It's great for both levels, athletics and education. It could set me up for life. It's really a school of excellence.

"I'll be up there on June 18 for the Irish Invasion. That's the plan."

Don't know. He just seemed to be at the QB a step quicker in many of the pass rush clips.

Looks destined to bulk up at move inside. His speed is decent, but I like his technique and power combination. Just don't think he'll be that high on our list. Certainly looks a bit bigger than 6'3 250.

Everything I can gather points to Jeter filling that spot. Seems like Paschal and Phillips are the two guys left on the board right now. That's just me picking from articles and comments I've seen

Yea, his OV is off and we've essentially stopped recruiting most DL. Paschal is still on the list and any edge rushers, that the staff likes. However, that list seems non-existent at this point.

I'd like to see Daley OV and get some eyes on him (new eyes, especially). If he's 6'2+, I offer and take him. Doesn't sound like that is happening.

Stay on Paschal and hope he gets qualified

You never know, new DC may want to make him a priority. Same thing happened with his brother. Once Diaco left and BVG came in the older Cage got an offer in January and the rest is history.

This might be a different scenario where the staff knows he'll continue to be around (visit) and they'll have familiarity with him and his family, that if there is space late, they'll take him.
