Obviously he's a heck of an athlete. Reminds me a lot of KVR in that both were pretty raw CB prospects but both are incredibly athletic and have great size for the position. With that said, its pretty clear that Troy really came around his senior year to playing the position and should probably be ahead of KVR when it comes to playing the position.

Love the pep out of the pale white kid bringing up the rear in that second video. He had to be thinking to himself, "Maybe I'll try out for the baseball team next year."

State champ in the 100, 200, 400, and 4 x 1. It may sound like a cliche, but he was seriously under-rated and Notre Dame has found a gem.

And people don't think he will be able to contribute early?

Isn't it spooky the kind of speed, athleticism, drive, explosiveness and stamina that lets a kid will four events at a state final event?

Because there is a completely different set of running skills for a 400 than a 100. And running all of those events at a meet, let alone winning them? That is some stamina and conditioning!

Kind of reminds me of that Ramsey kid from MD, that committed to the Irish and wound up as Criminole U. Except look at his strength now, compared to Ramsey. I say he is ahead in that game.

Ronald Darby, not Ramsey.

If Pride is ahead of Ramsey at the same point in their careers then we would be in for a real treat.

Oh my god. This kid is going to come in here and start day one and return punts and kicks and score touchdowns and stuff.

Scuzee!

I actually think, going back and doing this in English, Pride is better than Darby, and not too far off of Ramsey.

Just like Darby is listed 5'11", Pride is listed 6'0", and Ramsey is listed at 6'1".

No I don't think the comparison with Pride and Ramsey is that bad. Although, I am an idiot, and I stayed at a Holliday Inn Express last night.

Scuzee - Partie Deux

Tell me what this is, all events run in the same day :

"Pride ran a 10.55 100-meter dash to win, then a 21.28 in the 200. He legged out a victory in the 400 with a time of 48.28 seconds before teaming up to run the 4×100 in 42.20."

I think it is the lightning that goes with the thunder. What about you?

I mean ladies and gentlemen, this is a high school senior!

Jabrill Peppers' best high school time in the 100 was 10.52.

That be some pretty elite company!

As far as this years times, I looked them up.

This year Troy tied for 75 nationally in the 100 meter:

75. 12 Demetris Robertson 10.55 GA Savannah Christian Prep Mar 30 Derrick Plankenhorn Invitational
12 Sonnie Williams 10.55 TX Keller Timber Creek Apr 07 UIL 6A District 5 Finals
12 Evan McClellon 10.55 MN Robbinsdale Armstrong Apr 22 Armstrong Invitational
11 Noah Daniels 10.55 TX LC Clear Creek Apr 22 UIL 6A Area 23/24
11 Nicholas Alexander 10.55 (1.4)TX Garland Sachse Apr 30 UIL 6A Region II (Fr-Sa)
12 Keshawn Somerville 10.55 (3.9)TX Pflugerville Apr 30 UIL 6A Region II (Fr-Sa)
12 Troy Pride* 10.55 (-.9) SC Greer May 14 SCHSL AAA State Champioships

200 meter, tied for 53rd Nationally :

53. 12 Jabari Johnson 21.28(.0)OS N.C. Kinnick May 14 Kanto HS Finals
12 Troy Pride* 21.28 (1.4) SC Greer May 14 SCHSL AAA State Champioships
(Robertson ran a 21.27 tied for 50th in the 200.)

And Troy just missed the top 100 in the 400 Meter.

To contrast with Jalen Ramsey's best in high school :

100 Meters
1 11.00a-.2 May 25 TSSAA DII Championships D F

200 Meters
1 21.84a-.6 May 25 TSSAA DII Championships V F

400 Meters
1 49.02a May 25 TSSAA DII Championships V F
1 49.99a May 25 TSSAA DII Championships D F

He seems like such an awesome humble guy too. Can't wait to get him repping the university on and off the field

Figured he would see the field this year what's the deal?

Have not hear much about him in camp and so far this season.

I'm going to assume that he is a baller, but the defensive staff likes to sit and waste the first few years of good players careers. So expect to see him be a stud in 2 years or so.

Who are you going to play him over?

Wouldn't this be one of those times where you have three more games in the first half of the season, and can afford to play everyone (not quite) to find out what you get, because you can still red shirt them. Particularly this week when you are at home and don't have to worry about bumping into a travel roster??
