Does this put him on commit watch?

Keep your fingers crossed. He's gotten in deep with some of the big boys. Hopefully Magic Mike can go work his magic on Eric's Mom. She (or her family) are the one(s) that made him and his brother's ND fans. Hopefully they are from The Region or Michiana and are loyal Southshore Alums.

Think we are going after bigger fish at this point.

Hope you are right, but a top ten DT seems like a pretty big fish to me, although admittedly I know nothing about him and I am just going by the ratings.

They don't have a choice, they're not in the mix. They offered so they wanted him.

Yeah a Top 10 DT who has pictures of his entire family dressed in ND gear, admitted that it was a favorite team growing up and has family ties to Northern Indiana. Still, he got slow played and a late offer. That brings us to today.

Big fish in a small body.

A body which is basically Sheldon Day's going into his senior year. Sheldon should prove to us all that a sub 6-1 DT can be an impact player at ND but we'll forget that and feel that it takes a foster full of 6-5, 325 DT's to win 11+ games yearly.

It's just tough for me to see how or why some of the programs even offered him. He doesn't have "elite" film, traits or even a ceiling that would be on the level of Tennessee. Definitely confusing, but to each their own I suppose.

Not sure I see the relevancy in having to have "elite" film in order to be a viable option.

1. There are probably what 5 or 10, at best, "elite" DT's that have put out Junior film. So those are the only guys worthy of offers, count me confused by that.

2. We all know how SEC schools run their programs, and Tennessee frequently oversigns with quite a few non-elite players, shouldn't come as a surprise, at least not to me.

3. Now, I don't believe he's the #6 best DT in the country but he's definitely a top 250 guy. Too many successful programs or teams have had numerous 3 and 4 star players for me to question why they would be taking a certain player.

4. Hopefully I'll regret saying this but our current 3 year stretch of DT would definitely have this guy as a want, for sure.

2 years of Urban's lies and Mora's scheming...

.

Why was this in italics??

Anyway, D Line recruiting man, you read through this thread from the beginning and it seems like a slam dunk... then get to the end and it's as though there was never really a chance... I've said for years, offer every single remotely qualified four star and higher D Linemen in the country, take the first handful that sign on... lol... the depression is real.
