“Me and Avery talk about Notre Dame here and there,” said Rambo. “Thinking about if we should both make the commitment. Us playing together has come to mind, but it’s too early to make that decision.”---247

"I set the visit with [Avery] because they offered both of us and we both like Notre Dame," Rambo said. "The Irish continue to show us love so we wanted to check it out together even though he's been up there once before."

Per ISD/Freeman, according to Rambo's step-father, he loved the visit. Not deciding any time soon, but ND made a major move up his list. Where it was once Oklahoma and everyone else, ND is now right there with them. Having Davis committed also helps. Feels the TX schools did not want him, which makes him leaving the state very likely.

Hell yes we'll take him.

Really, really funny!

And by funny, I mean fraught with irony.

Why is it irony? He has been a major OU lean for the longest time

I think it is based off of the comments after his visit here. Supposedly pulled even with Oklahoma and caused him to push his commitment back and his reported desire to play with Davis who committed to us. Then he actually decides within a week of his visit. Didn't think we would land him anyway but makes the reports after his visit seem like BS.

Committed, but still very open about taking not only official visits, but unofficial ones as well. I mean, he's not only shopping, he's using the Tinder app lol.

Of course recruits are going to say these kind of things after visits especially when it's to an ND reporter. OU fans were always extremely confident

Also per rivals ND liked him but didn't love him. So I don't think we pushed that hard and have other top targets on the board. He might be the 3rd best WR on his own high school team

Had not heard this, makes following his recruitment a lot different now. Thanks for posting.

Who are the other receivers on his team?

Not saying this isn't true but it's funny how ND says this AFTER he commits to another school.

Sounds like sour grapes.

I agree, he isn't the top guy for Notre Dame, but I have a feeling Notre Dame would have more than taken him last weekend, this weekend or next weekend.

Rambo himself stated in his commitment that he would taken unofficial and official visits. Like the reporters are saying, it sounds like he was just reserving his spot in Oklahoma's class with them starting to fill up. (Rambo makes the third WR commit in the class.)

Because someone just wrote in a post the other day that people who say things like, "he loved the visit. Not deciding any time soon, but ND made a major move up his list. Where it was once Oklahoma and everyone else, ND is now right there with them. Having Davis committed also helps." I think they also said that it is like the kid that says it is committing to another school before the words he spoke finish echoing. In this case, news of ND pulling up to the leader actually came out after word of his commitment did!

I just find it funny.

Interesting that after what may have been a breakout year in 2019 going 43/743/5 he went just 25/312/3 this year.
