This is incredibly irresponsible. I hope media jumps all over this, as he is essentially calling for his supporters to riot. He has that funny of way of telling people something without actually saying it. Like this situation, where he is saying "he thinks people will riot", but by bringing the topic up and not stating they shouldn't... he is defacto encouraging it.

He's done this throughout his campaign. I've never in my life seen a candidate that actually encourages his followers to be violent. It's pretty scary actually.

I'm completely with you on violence. Trump is irresponsible and heinous.

That said, I'm with Larry Sabato. It would be pretty wild if the GOP finds a way to keep him out after he's won nearly every state.

Sabato on Trump: "How Does A Party Deny The Nomination To A Guy Who Has Dominated The Map?" | Video | RealClearPolitics

ETA: "Nearly every state" is an exaggeration. But he's winning a lot.

Those are the rules. The "majority" rule is there for a reason. Imagine a field that hadn't narrowed and a candidate winning with 12% of the delegates in a fifteen person field. If Trump goes in with less than a majority then he has no one to blame but himself and the voters.

Would you think the same thing if Trump was your favorite candidate? Or if you replace Trump's name with Rand Paul? It's a party trying to subvert the will of the people...like some argue with super delegates.

I'm not arguing with you, because I think your words are very reasonable. But.............. this is the very definition of yellow journalism. They took his response to a question specifically about a brokered convention and made it sound like he was speaking about the nomination, period. But Trump tends to speak in hyperbole a lot, and he hasn't done himself any favors by doing so.

I've not totally kept up with this election but wouldn't Trump just go 3rd party if the Republicans nominate someone else at the convention (assuming he has the most delegates)? In that scenario it seems that would ensure a Democratic victory. Wouldn't they be better off taking their chances with him?

Trump Agrees With Ann Coulter That Fox News And Ted Cruz Are "American Traitors"

Ann Coulter takes credit for Trump fanatics’ rage — but would like to see “a little more violence” from them
According to Coulter, Trump borrowed all "that spicy stuff on Mexican rapists" from her latest book

Book Review: Adios, America!: The Left’s Plan to Turn Our Country Into a Third World Hellhole | Ann Coulter | Conservative Book Club

“I would like to be the head of Donald Trump’s Homeland Security,” Coulter said, adding, “I’ll get it all done before breakfast” because she “could kind of guess who the criminals are going to be at least 50 percent of the time.”
“We’re assimilating you, you’re here and you’re going to be an American. There will be no celebration of Cinco de Mayo, there will be no Ramadan, in fact there won’t even be a Feast of the Immaculate Conception – we are an Anglo-Protestant country, and you will learn about the Battle of Valley Forge.”

Coulter is human scum. The fact that people actually read her hate speech makes me ill.

There are a lot of theories. Trump has pledged NOT to run third party. Trump is also full of shit. If the Republicans are going to lose anyways, they might figure they're better off losing without Trump as their standard-bearer, which could have long term implications for the party. There's also the chance of a third party conservative run if Trump is the GOP nominee.

I knew he signed the pledge but also figure he'll break it if he feels like the RNC is "screwing" him over by not giving him the nomination. I just can't see them giving it to Cruz (who will probably have the 2nd most delegates) and wonder who else is out there. Heard Paul Ryan's name mentioned as well as Romney. Not sure either would take the nomination.

All the sudden the GOP is filled with "conservatives". Ha.

The GOP will burn if they're dumb enough to piss in the face of voters to LOSE the election.

I didn't say shit about the GOP. If there was a conservative third party run, it would decidedly NOT be led by the GOP.

Yeah, wasn't suggesting you did. The gop certainly seems to be suggesting that he's not conservative enough. And it's pathetic.

I think we will have riots on the streets if Trump is the nominee. Cleveland will look like Ferguson.

He probably hopes that happens. The protests in Chicago last week just boosted him like every other attack on him.
