There's nothing illegal about "out sourcing" and you can blame our dumbass Government and their treatment of corporations as "evil" for why (some) companies outsource.

Using H-1B worker visas is very different. It's extremely common in technical or engineering related industries... you can hire an American worker for the market rate, or you can import some one from India or Bangladesh and pay them 70%. It's also, technically, illegal to do that if you can find a qualified American to fill the billet. That doesn't stop a lot of companies, because you're filling open job postings and it's pretty easy to obfuscate whether or not you could find a comparable American. But in the case of literally replacing workers just to cut cost, that's both ridiculous and illegal.

Outsourcing work to other countries (which I personally have done on multiple occasions) is just as bad IMO as importing... maybe worse. At least those imported have to pay taxes (at least I believe). It all comes back to our fine government.. the last time I did it was about 5 years ago after our insurance cost (among other costs) shot up due to Obama Care and other policy. The medium size company simply couldn't compete with all the added BS. They either needed to lower wages, reduce benefits, etc.. or find other ways. When a company is faced with added cost in a competitive and/or low margin world, something has to give. I don't blame any company for making choices to ensure they remain in business. Disney,,, I don't know their situation, but I doubt they were facing economic hardship or struggles.

Fact is, when our population distribution is aging (fig 1) and the labor force participation rate keeps dropping (fig 2), we need smart immigration to keep our economy and budget moving in the right direction. Disney isn't helping.

Why would the general public be suspicious of limitless mass immigration? It's working out so well in Europe.
