This kid is rising quick in Indiana. Up to #3 behind Hunter Johnson and RJ Potts. Received offers from IU, Illini & Iowas St in the past week.

Lists Northwestern and Wisconsin as his leaders.

Plays on Indy's big Catholic School. Plays with '17 S Ben Stewart and the 2 top '18 prospects, OL Emil Ekiyor and RB Markese Stepp.

Hopefully, the whole Cathedral crew can make it up to South Bend this month

While that's true from a LB position there are multiple plays shown where he's lined up at corner which I found interesting.

Kids got a gear. He can grab that extra gear at speed and close with authority.

You guys can waste your time talking about Michigan all you want but Stanford is one of the two programs keeping ND out of the playoffs right now. The other is ND. I dislike everything about that school, from the hand me down NC State uni's to the completely underdressed marching band. Now they are coming to my home state and grabbing our best players??? I'm this close to wishing a 9.0 event upon Palo Alto.

I'm a fan as well. Regardless of how everything shakes out with the 16' class, LB and DT are going to be priorities and getting a guy like Werner early would be set us up pretty good down the line.

I was really hoping for an admission that ND is the immediate leader and his dream school sorta blah blah blah.

This is one of those times where I'm not sure what the hold up was regarding an offer. I'm not going to get into the breakdown of the account acquisition cycle here but I will say the longer you leave a business prospect uncommitted in the marketplace the more likely it is obstacles will arise in their decision chain that you will have to overcome.

What has changed in the ND - Pete Werner relationship that an offer was handed out now?

Is there new film?
Did they work him out?
Did he visit campus again?
Did he have to provide transcripts?
Did other players wash through their funnel???
Did they feel they needed to establish a better relationship?

I can't see anything that would have changed since the Fiesta Bowl except the fact that 12 other P5's have offered which includes B1G teams, Duke & potentially now Stanford. ND's chance to be unique has passed. There's local heavy's in the mix and all the "Football Ivy's" are in play. I have to ask, could it have been avoided?

I've been watching various teams closely over the past 2 cycles as a personal project. There is little doubt, some have a better system in place than others. And there is also little doubt some need some outside help to develop a better thought out process that takes them from identification to acquisition.
