Who all are the EE's? Sorry to be "that guy," as I'm sure it's been posted somewhere.

Thanks gentlemen.

It's huge to get two front 7 players and 2 safeties in early. And depending on how quickly Stepherson can add some muscle/speed, that might be a useful EE as well.

Why does composite even include ESPN? They've proven to be far and away the worst recruiting service of the main 4.

I updated the front page. I downgraded Jones because it's really weird that Michigan is so confident... because I know there are group of ND professionals who believe he's basically a Notre Dame lock. Someone is wrong. Did he tell both staffs that he was coming? I guess we'll see.

I never bought the "Jones is a silent commit to ND" news. I'm not saying there wasn't good Intel on it, I just personally never bought into it. I know someone very close to Jones and he was all Michigan before Durkin left. I haven't talked to this person since Durkin left, but I didn't think that was enough to flip him so quickly.

We really need another LB in this class.

Literally what I think happened is that when Durkin he immediately threw some serious good vibes towards ND... even possibly telling them that he was coming. Then Michigan went out and hired BC's defensive coordinator and they went about repairing the relationship. And then they went out and stomped a bad Florida team that still holds cache for down there, and that finished building the momentum.

If I was a betting man, I'd bet on Michigan for Jones at this point, but I'm guessing we'll know more in a week or so once he takes his visit to Duke.

This still makes me sick to my stomach. Would've loved Brown at ND.

Very possible-- need to land jones but I'm not as confident as others, hell even Steve W. has him going to Michigan... Don't see us landing Roberson, Kelly or shark either

With Alloway, Robertson, Kelly, Mccullough, and Jones, we're 2nd at worst for each of these guys... You think we'd have to get at least one of them.

If not and we keep everyone committed, we'll probably finish ~ 15th as others jump us. Not too bad, beating OSU would have helped land at least one of the above I bet.

Based on the reports, I would think we'd get no one else. But regardless of their overall strategy and execution, the staff's short game is always underrated. They'll probably land one more.

Current Class Rankings:

Scout - 7th, 10 4:s: 12 3:S:
Rivals - 4th, 1 5:S: 10 4:s: 10 3:S:
ESPN - 14th, (not an insider)
247 - 9th, 9:S: 13:S:

Not expecting too many more at this point.

Jonathan Jones and slim chance at adding one if the other two LB. A late Jan surprise?

Basically, 3 out of 4 services really like our class, but because we don't have enough UA All-American game participants we're going to stay low on ESPN.

Never have trusted ESPN's analysis on recruitment.

Kind of shocked to think that a top 15 ND squad may limp to the finish with a class ranked around 15th....That fvcking bowl game killed all the positive momentum.

Nah. Was always setting up to be a quiet finish. We locked up early - as we often do.
Would certainly be nice to close out with one or two more but I wouldn't count on it.

Just saying at one point it looked very good for McCullough and Jones. Fuller was somebody that had a really good trip to ND as well but that's all cooled down as well. We all had high hopes for Kelly, but it was realistically not going to happen. Just sucks that it looks like ND may be short of 85 again - I'm still disappointed they stopped pushing for Hamlin.

Let's look at this holistically.

In 2012 they were able to close out strong with Redfield, Folston and Bryant as the key pieces. Folston would have gone to Auburn if he could have and I seem to remember GB having limited options as well. Redfield was a coup at the time, though the staff worked on that all year IIRC.

This year, we had many spots taken before the season and could, but may not, finish with a bang. That said, we I think the on the field success changes recruiting is in the 2017 class. Both Cole Kmet and Beal have committed since the start of the season and we could potentially land the following top 247 composite players: Avery Davis, Ajian and Garrett. That could create quite a bit of momentum.

Simply put, I think we would have all loved for the class to be "ranked" higher by landing some studs in Jan/Feb outside of McKinley. Maybe we still will. But I think the good year on the field is helping us more next cycle than this one.

From Wiltfong, per a source inside the Gug, as of the this morning, the prediction was Kelly to OU, McCulloch to Texas, and Robertson to ND. This is the sources predictions, not Wiltfong's.

Sounds about right.

I'd be fine with that. After watching last night, I just want as many elite players as possible. That's obvious, but to win games like last night, you need stars who can make plays that don't schematically exist, both on offense and defense. Robertson counts.

We're still looking good for Jones, right? I think I'd be happy with the above if we got Jones, too. I mean, I'd be happy about getting Robertson, obviously, but I think it would hurt to whif to close out LB recruiting. Still clinging to hope for Kelly as well.

Until it comes out that Robertson is blowing smoke up our collective ass and takes bag man money to stay south. And then we come into the year with 75-80 players on scholarship.
