Receiving good reviews after the first under armour practice via a rivals report
Bad day for a bump r2g... bad bad day.
*Time to go change my drawls*
Receiving good reviews after the first under armour practice via a rivals report
Performance: One of the biggest surprises of the day was Eichenberg's performance in one-on-ones. He held up to bull-rushes and anchored well using his strong base. Eichenberg has very long arms and moved laterally well. He beat five-star Marlon Davidson on back-to-back reps in one-on-ones. - See more at: https://footballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1840742#sthash.YA1fGFzD.dpufer
But Rivals spent two years ensuring us that they had evaluated him multiple times and he was just not that level prospect...

Kramer is a guard, maybe a RT. Eichenberg is a left tackle.I always liked Eichenberg's tape over Kraemer's, especially for a tackle spot. Kid's gonna be a monster.

Agree.I agree, but, IMO, this is an embarrassment of riches argument.
We are now cycling through first round NFL draft picks, so can talk about kids at their ultimate NFL positions. Sure, McGlinchey is an RT when Stanley is on the field, but he is a good LT for most programs. Quentin Nelson is a OG on our line, but he could play OT at most schools.
I think Kramer could be a very good tackle, but he'll make an excellent OG if it comes to that.

Maybe not the right spot for this but I feel like we don't talk nearly enough about how good Mike McGlinchey is. He'll be a first-rounder next year and I won't be surprised if he ends up as the best pro prospect among the trio of himself, Stanley, and Z. Martin.
We talk a lot about how good Mike McGlinchey is in the Mike McGlinchey thread.
We're quickly losing our claim to the "Tight End U" status with the way we under utilize that position compared to the past, but we will probably be able to call ourselves "OL U" once Stanley is drafted. So many great prospects are going to follow him, not to mention ZMart before him, it's going to be silly.
dominated Marlon Davidson again today in team practice....it was noted Marlon was visibly frustrated!! ---247
I thought Eichenberg and Greg Little look the best of the OL.
Next Five Offense
1. OL Liam Eichenberg: The Notre Dame commit was the only person that looked to stonewall five-star DT Rashan Gary. He also showed up big against standout DE Andre Anthony.
Like Gary, Gregory Little is different than the rest here at Under Armour. He’s the best offensive tackle on the field by far. There is Little and then there is everybody else. On his team, you could make a case for Michigan commit Ben Bredeson to be No. 2 or maybe it’s Liam Eichenberg, the Notre Dame commitment. On Team Armour, there hasn’t been a consistently good tackle at all.
Andre Anthony is an extremely quick DE which Eichenberg appears to have handled well. Extremely excited that Eichenberg is strong enough and quick enough to handle everyone including some admiral reps against Gary.
Anyone know what's going on?
