Is the concensus that a coaching change for Texas or AM would actually help those schools chances? I guess I assumed the coaches remaining would help them.
If they don't change there's a big cloud hanging over next season. If they are retained and the have dismal seasons next year either one will probably be gone.
I heard today that A&M would have to pay Sumlin like $20M within 60 days if they let him go. They ain't letting him go...IMO
Most of the buyouts I have read about never go exactly by the terms of the agreement. For instance when IU fired Sampson, he was due some big number. They settled on something less than the amount in the contract and spread out over a period of years. I think it goes back to the litigation aspect. Neither party wants it to drag out so they come to terms.
