Wow, tough crowd. In a world of unicorns I agree, but in no way shape or form would I be disappointed in this finish if we end up with Jones versus Kelly and Morris versus Hamlin/Fuller. The expectation that we should win every recruiting battle isn't real, IMO.

Agree 100%. This is a problem we haven't had in recent years. Seems like a good to great finish.

Hamlin is a really tough one to peg. I still think we lead, but will we lead 2 months from now? How about a week from now? We're on him like white on rice but so is Pitt.

Tell you what... with all of these guys, I think bowl season really matters. If we can upset Ohio State I think we will close VERY strong. If we don't and other teams do well, I'm not sure what happens with the rest of the class.

The biggest reason I don't want Morris was the soft comment. I think that's a pretty big deal.

Not really. Prosise was pegged as a Safety when he got here. He flipped to receiver because our depth there was bad (funny how that worked out). I honestly don't know where the coaches want him. Offense? Defense? We already have Claypool, along with ESB, Boykin and Jones, so putting him at receiver seems redundant. I think his best projected position is OLB, but I think we have better prospects right now, and we need ILB much more than OLB.

Prosise was recruited as an athlete. Safety happened to be the position he started out at. Same as Morris who is being being recruited as an athlete. In Prosise case Kelly said he wasn't physical enough on defense so they moved him to the offense. If Morris starts out at LB but shows he has of an offensive mindset he'll get flipped.

People keep saying we lead for Troy Pride, Jeff M we are at his top, Caleb Kelly top 2, David Long jr. we are running 3rd. Hamlin we lead for or at least are at the top, Jones we are at the top, Javon Mckinnley we lead for. I just got a hunch we end up signing one of these guys and not 3-4 .

I'm feeling 2-3. McKinley, Pride, and possibly Fuller or Hamlin. Would love to see Kelly join the Irish, but just don't see that happening (pleeeez let me be wrong). With Guyton on the way out, McKinley would be a huge pick-up to fill that WR slot.

There is nothing we can do to change it. The staff has put us in a really good position with some top talent. Yes it will suck to be 2nd but at least the staff made these guys to actually think about coming to ND. Lets hope they can finish strong and develop these young guys.
