Well, it's hard to argue right now. But Iowa has trusted the defense all year and they were incredible all night. It didn't work. If Iowa comes up with a stand, everyone thinks Ferentz is a genius.

Mandel et al are saying Iowa might get sent to the Rose Bowl, meaning, presumably, we would get OSU. I would rather play Iowa...

I'd say the same about Iowa. I hope we get FSU. That's just as sexy as OSU, but I think we'd have a better chance against FSU.

Dunno. Splitting nets people who will watch anyways, pairing will draw many people who wouldn't watch otherwise.

So, with all the Iowa hate around here lately... how would everyone feel if they beat Stanford in the Rose Bowl? Would Stanford just not be as good as you thought, either?

I feel like every Iowa fan (and I'm literally surrounded by them) just watched their team lose and got invigorated with excitement because they didn't get smashed. Tons of them wanting to jump OU because they didn't play a conference title game and Iowa had an "extra" test (1st of the year IMHO).

I think they have a stout D. I will dump my Vbucks on Stanford as soon it appears. Iowa hasn't seen anything like #5 and I think Stanford unloads.

Yep, don't think Stanford has any problems with Iowa. All game long, the announcers were talking about how fast their safeties come up for the run.

Sounds like play action city for Stanford. Man, Will would of had a field day.
