Founders Breakfast Stout. Oddly mine still has the child on the label and it was bottled 11/13/15.

Weird. I'll have to look into why that is. I just had a Founders Redankulous. It was amazing. Although it was my first beer in a week and I'm getting over a cold. In hindsight maybe I shouldn't have had it but I really wanted it.

Lagunitas SUCKS. I really wish it stay cold here so I could drink more stouts. Hard to drink them when it is 75+ during the day.

Haha, I can't imagine drinking a stout when it's 75. It was 45 here today and I still opted for other things. Shorts Pan Galactic Gargle Blaster. Honestly I think Shorts is the champion of beer names.

It smells quite sweet, but doesn't taste that way at all. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it beyond a very high quality, albeit simple, IPA. The first few sips are very bitter but it eases up on the palate as you make your way through it. The brewery describes it as follows:

The Cricket IPA features one of my favorite hop blends! The peachy, apricot, tangerine of Palisade; Simcoe’s sharp pine and ruby red grapefruit; The dank stank of CTZ; and the flowery-black pepper of Dr. Rudi! The Cricket is pleasantly hoppy with malty undertones of Vienna and American Pale. In one word – Delightful.
I'm inclined to agree. I'll probably make it through the growler before 8:00.

Agreed.

Now I'm onto Hacker-Pschorr Dunkelweizen.

So is Bourbon County good? Any I should avoid?

Can you still find it near you? Personally haven't had any yet but I've heard they're all good. Looking forward to trying my Stout and Barleywine.

What do you think of it? I have considered getting it but it is $17 here.

Funny you say that. Bought this bottle while in Chicago on vacation and didn't realize the price. Found the receipt today and couldn't believe i spent that much on this bottle...and its only a pint! That being said, this beer is really good but I wouldnt buy again due to price. Lots of bourbon and a lot of the great double bastard I really enjoy though.

Well I walked into Central Market today and they told me they still have Bourbon County and that they're getting a shipment of a lot of the better stuff in on Monday. I figured I'd wait until Monday but didn't want to go in without an idea of what to buy
