There is obviously lots of chaos that could occur with coaching changes. It goes without saying that this is a projection based on the current status quo, which can change rapidly for either coaches or players.
For those that missed the earlier editions, this thread is intended to serve as a 'one stop shop' of sorts for recruiting info on the remaining targets on ND's board. It saves people time in scrounging through pages of recruiting threads for answers to the same questions like "how many spots do we have left?" or "when is so-and-so deciding?" Please feel free to add on and offer corrections/insight/opinions below. I will keep it updated weekly or as new major recruiting developments happen.
---------------------------------------------------------
Notre Dame probably has up to 3 spots remaining right now depending on 5th years, medicals, transfers, early entrants, and who wants to hop on board. Following the commitment of Javon McKinley, the staff would likely want to take 1 LB, and then 2 of the "best available" players from the names listed below. Notre Dame ideally wants at least one more linebacker in this class.
Locks (this category applies only to guys that are either silent verbals to Notre Dame with a firm public announcement date, or where Notre Dame otherwise knows with complete certitude that the player is coming)
Jonathan Jones - Jones indicated to the Irish staff months ago that he would sign with Notre Dame, and as we approach NSD it appears like he is going to stick to that. Expect a NSD commitment.

Guys We Currently Lead For
Demetris Robertson - No one has a clue here. The Notre Dame staff still feels very good about Robertson, but there are lots of question marks. He could drag it out past NSD and take multiple other visits. Alabama, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and even allegedly Stanford are still under consideration. Some think this is all an elaborate smoke screen. National Signing Day announcement or possibly past NSD.

Guys We Are Squarely in the Race For (does not mean in the slightest that we will or are expected to win the race... but means we have a legitimate shot to land these guys depending on how the next few weeks play out)
Caleb Kelly - There are conflicting reports on just how much Kelly likes Notre Dame and whether he is an Oklahoma lock. Oklahoma sources remain confident, but Notre Dame sources also express some optimism. Oregon appears to be a hat on the table. Committing on NSD with finalists of Oklahoma, Oregon, and Notre Dame.

Guys We Have a Shot At (i.e. could hypothetically become part of this class but it would take a significant
change of the status quo)
Jeffrey McCulloch - The more things change, the more they stay the same for McCulloch. Texas-based sources were adamant throughout the process that he would not be leaving the state, and right now it seems probable that he signs at Texas or possibly even Texas A&M. Stanford is also lurking, and Notre Dame appears to be on the outside looking in... but there's still the slimmest chance that he chooses someone besides the Longhorns.Committing on NSD.

Jordan Fuller - The elite New Jersey athlete visited Notre Dame for the banquet on 12/11. He liked his July visit to Notre Dame, but the Irish seemed to fade a bit afterwards. His finalists are Ohio State, Notre Dame, and Michigan. It's not clear what position he would play for Notre Dame, but he's a guy the Irish would like to have. At this time, Notre Dame is recruiting Fuller for offense. Ultimately, Fuller is likely announcing for Ohio State tonight. Committing February 1st.

Ben Davis - The Alabama legacy has offers from all over the SEC. He had a good visit to Notre Dame, but it doesn't look to be enough. Currently lists Bama as the leader, though Notre Dame did an incredible job making an impression and weirder things have happened. Plans on a NSD announcement.
