I'm where I was six or eight months ago on Daelin. I think his athletic talent makes him an extremely compelling prospect. When he seemed high on ND in the beginning I was glad and when he committed to SC I was disappointed. He will not be the last recruit to get excited about his visits and give glowing reviews. He seems like the type of guy who needs the emotion to die down a little before we should take anything he says seriously. Unfortunately many who follow recruiting closely are not willing to do that. Every word that he says is dissected and taken as a change of heart, when he just seems to be an excitable guy. If we take a step back and ignore the highs and lows of this recruitment we would see that he was always high on ND and when he finally makes his decision it will not be in the hours following an official visit during which the staffs and fans were pumping him up. I suspect he chooses that consistent good feeling that has been with him since the beginning.

I wish he would just announce already so that I can decide if he's the best recruit of all time who will no doubt start as a true freshman or if he's the most overrated hack who will ride the pine at some other school for all four years.

Why such the negativity? I don't see him starting over Bilal or Coney or Barajas but he will be a player.

It was sarcasm based upon how many peoples opinion of Hayes has flipped depending on the perceived likelihood of Hayes committing to ND

I can only speak for myself but my opinion of Hayes has changed, somewhat, due to his inability to play another full season. He'll be coming in with very little actual football experience over the last 2-3 seasons and two bad shoulder injuries.

Maybe with two bad shoulders and him not playing is a benefit? Just looking at the positives. ha

Pretty sure Adams tore his ACL his junior year and then dominated his senior year.

Dominated sophomore year, senior year and his freshman year at ND. He has proven me wrong the whole time.

Josh Adams was injured his Junior season and played his entire senior season and did quite well. I didn't say that is was a guarantee that he'll be a bust but there's another question mark to add to the chart, which increases the chances of him not reaching his full potential. Not saying I wouldn't take him, but he's not a must get, IMO and there are quite a few wants ahead of him. This is solely due to his injury history and lack of productivity at the HS level.
