That's probably the best I've seen for PlayStation if you don't mind waiting a couple of weeks for a preorder. 500GB might be a little light depending on how many games you end up getting, since they all need to be downloaded/installed. That's one of the reasons I went with Xbox. I bought 500GB but upgrading Xbox's storage is plug-and-play with just about any external hard drive. Playstation is a bit more involved in that regard.

The BestBuy XB1 deal is roughly the same (500GB bundle plus free new game) but they throw in a $50 gift card too. You could use that to get Xbox Live for a year if you go that route.

The Xbox is tempting but I need my PS specific games like Uncharted and MLB the Show. I think I'm going to go ahead with the preorder. 500GB should be enough for me. I don't play a ton of games.

Lol I'm not offended or anything I just thought the ps upgrade was a really simple process. Are you liking the One? Id like to get one but the middling halo 5 reviews have me holding off. I might get one at the next price drop.

I bought it last night, then sat in three hours of stopped traffic to the point that I had to stay in a hotel because I was falling asleep at the wheel. Got home at 7:00 AM this morning, showered, and came to work. It's plugged in with FIFA installed but I haven't played it yet.

I thought Halo 5 was great, drastic improvement in campaign over Halo 4 and the multiplayer is pretty good as well. I am a big Halo fan and have always like the games though so I may be a little biased in my review of the game

FIFA manager mode is addicting... I love the youth squad training stuff...

Tactics set to possession, pressure set to defensive,... This is done by the d pad,... play two strikers up front, whatever ___-2 you're confortable with... pass close (long passes are turnovers) and use the back button, not sure what it is on x box, to fight off challenges to the ball, pay attention to your players movement in the box and pick your spots... Also regular crosses are total garbage in this game, double tapping the cross button gets low, fast crosses... They work MUCH better...

Above all, FIFA is a sim game that requires time and practice, you'll get it, but not in the first sit down. MLB the show is the same way, you can't just pick up and play and expect wins...

I've played older FIFA games but this one feels different. I have possession and shots but I can't score. The other guys bomb them in but all my goals are on rebounds and control shots.

Controlled shots help a lot, take a brief side step just before shooting, that helps me.

Realistically you have to decide how many games you intend on playing again in the distant future once you finish playing one game. Will you ever come back to it, and if not why keep it on the hard drive? It's really not worth worrying about having to upgrade the 500 GB hard drive, because chances are there's always a game you can uninstall and reinstall it later if you decide you want to play it again. There's also the fact that it's very easy to upgrade the hard drive, it's fairly painless like the PS3 was. You slide the cover off, remove one screw, and then swap out the drives. That's very little effort and as a plus you won't have an external hard drive constantly plugged into your system with a separate power cable running to that drive.

Yeah the differences between the two are really splitting hairs. My decision ultimately came down to cost. Xbox had the best deals going and I won't have to buy new instruments if I decide to get the new Rock Band.

I don't buy a lot of games, but own all of the MG games. I wouldn't say MGS:V is insane. I personally like PS1 MGS, and PS3 MGS: Snake Eater. Phantom Pain and Ground Zero aren't as good. Still great games, but the earlier ones are clearly better IMO. I don't like the idea of controlling the base and building an army. I want to sneak through the jungle and snap necks.

Yes. It wasn't on PS3 and I think temporarily on PS4 but it is now.

Yes, on the PS3 you didn't need it, but you do now on PS4. It's completely worth it though, based on the free games they give with Playstation Plus and the other discounts/freebies you get. I've been playing a little DC Universe Online the last few months with my buddies on PS4 while we wait for Fallout 4. It's a free game, but you're pretty limited on how many characters you can make and stuff. Found out that Playstation Plus members get 3x as many free character slots and some other goodies if you download the Playstation Plus Add On.
