I thought Temple seemed a little aggressive on some of their finished tackles. There was always a little extra edge/push after the tackle. I don't think it's a bad thing, but I thought a few of our players took an exception to it at times. I thought that's why Kizer pulled out that celebration. They also seemed to bark a lot after the play.

Dude, its Kizer

Yeah, it seemed like Kizer did it on the first TD in response to Temple's stud LB chirping at him and trying to rip the ball out after he'd gotten in the end-zone. Second TD was just a continuation of that. Noticed the owl arms did not come out on the TD pass, think he had too much respect for them by then.

I will say the Temple guys did a good job getting under everyone's skin last night. And their corners correctly calculated that the refs wouldn't throw the flag for PI every play, so were able to get away with some physical football after the first few penalties.

That's crazy to me, I would have sworn Brady Quinn did this sort of thing all the time.

I thought that was bush league and classless. That's something you see out of FSU or Miami back in the day. Wouldve looked even more stupid if they would've lost, which they nearly did.

As I said above. I didn't like it either. Love Kizer, but taunting isn't really something I think ND should indulge in. It can created incentives for opponents to play harder as well.

I know we haven't seen a lot from Zaire so this probably isn't a fair statement but I like overall what kizer brings to the table.

We'll hear from all sides I'm sure. If DK leads us to the playoffs ala OSU, no way this automatically goes back to MZ. BK told MZ's mom it was his team, which I believe I said was bold at the time. I'm not saying in any way that DK is better than MZ, or vice versa, but next year sure will be interesting..

Don't sleep on Wimbush either. I could see him starting next year too

Loved it. It was far different than or DB show boating when we were losing.

Not to mention it's obvious Temple's LB said something to him after he scored - you can see him taking his mouthguard out in the highlights before Kizer stares at him and flaps his wings. While it'd be pretty great for Kizer to be mature enough to just brush it off, I don't mind some attitude and refusal to back down. You need some swagger to be a big-time player, and different players manifest that in different ways. Temple seemed to be getting under our players' skin quite a bit. I don't think I've seen Fuller get in somebody's face like he did on his first catch, not even with that Clemson DB talking all kinds of shit to him all game.

I've got a bad feeling about this one. This QB class is so bad it's unreal

A post of mine from the summer of 2013.

It took the staff forever to offer this kid and he almost went to LSU. I wonder what it would be like without Kizer right now.

Glad my "bad feeling" was way off!

I thought the bird flapping was innocent enough and justified given we just scored.

That or maybe he sees Angels?

BW is my fav of the 3. I could care who starts though, as long as we are winning.

What I don't want, is one of the 3 to transfer.

Seems like we have 3 very good QBs. Kizer being the man is actually the least ideal from an eligibility standpoint. Best case would have been going from Malik to Wimbush with Kizer being the back-up but that isn't gonna happen. Right now, him and Wimbush both have 3 years after this. Hopefully we'll get to redshirt him next year and get a little seperation between him and Kizer.

I really hope everything works out and all 3 stay, but I'm just not seeing a puppy dogs and rainbows outcome. MZ might even get a med RS (can anyone in the know confirm?)

I think they only grant a 6th year medical if the previous redshirt year was also taken because of a medical issue. Malik redshirted his Freshman year in order to preserve a year (not because he was injured) so I doubt he would be granted a medical for this one. Avery Sebastian, on the other hand may get a 6th because he was injured in his redshirt year as well as this.

Temple was playing dirty last night (watch the bottom of the pile hits on CJ) so no I didn't mind the flapping at all. I still don't mind it now. Iam glad we won vs. a tough team and HORRIBLE refs.

Officiating is being worse and worse. Not that I want their job but it is pretty flipping horrible watching some of these college and NFL games.

What's sad is they are a billion times worse at the high school level

Normally I hate celibrating of any kind. To me its rubbing it in your opponents face which is poor quality but it looked like when DeShone scored a temple guy in front of him was saying something that DeShone didn't like so DeShone started flapping.

when I first saw Kizer's 'flapping' I thought he was taunting the temple player, as if to taunt him by 'flapping' like an Owl (temple owls).....

I love MZ but I'm starting to love Kizer too. Just so much nicer watching a big bodiee, 6'5" qb that has the stones for the position. If he keeps slowly getting better IDK how he's not our starter next year. And why on earth is BK not getting coach of the year recognition? Our recording all things considered is great.
