Good to know on BVG and I stand corrected since I have never met him. There is something that hasn't rubbed me right about him on this show but will take first hand knowledge over my couch view any day. Thanks.

I wouldn't call my view firsthand regarding BVG and the rest of the Irish coaches. Everywhere is different but in my day...which was Bobby Knight era, not the anti-purple face, give everyone a participation certificate era.

Think my favorite part was the look Denbrock gave to Fuller after his TD against Southern Cal. Somehow that look said 1000 words....kid is such a baller.

My wife was impressed with Denbrock with the way he handled Corey Robinson and his struggles a few weeks back.

I have no problem with the yelling. When I coached I did it plenty. I just want to see him teaching not just talking loudly. That's not coaching. Denbrock yells but you also see him teaching. Same with Kelly.

Not sure if this was mentioned, but it looks like the episodes are up on WatchND's app.

I'd like to see a little Jarron Jones. I know he's hurt but he's entertaining.

Tillery is impressive and seems like a one of kind kid.

Good to see Kizer at CCHS in the Glass City. Glad they got the W against the Johnnies.

Great kids on this team. Good episode.

Kizer is extremely impressive. Compare his off-field behavior with, say, famous Jameis, and you see what ND is about.

It's going to suck when they go to a different school because 1) version 2.0 is likely to be improved, and 2) they'll paint kids at other schools as student-athletes (instead of just athletes) and Notre Dame won't look as unique. Every program can find six guys who know where the library is, they'll get the air time.

If the did one on Bama it could be the next Star Wars movie. Lol.

It was interesting to see Sheldon playing against high schoolers. Although I could have sworn he went to Warren Central, not Lawrence Central.

My Lord those Gorman facilities are insane.

Joe Schmidt is Rudy but slightly bigger.

Jerry Tillery is my new hero.

I continue to be impressed with Jerry Tillery. I hope that this kid becomes a college football legend the likes of Brian Bosworth, Barry Sanders, or Herschel Walker. And, through it all, I hope he maintains his boyish enthusiasm and his humble demeanor.

Am i right to say that Coach Kelly is personally recruiting:
Alabama - Ben Davis
Michigan - Hayes
Palm Beach - Studstill

I'm curious to what the ratings are like? Because although at first I was unsure about a season long show like this and unfamiliar with Showtime, this is been nothing but amazing. I enjoy every second of it and wish it was an hour long. I kind of hope they will continue this as a yearly thing with ND.

Caught up on the show last night, powered through Clemson, Navy, USC, and bye-week episodes.

Biggest takeaways/questions/comments/concerns:

1. Where in the hell was Joe Schmidt eating, and how can I find this place and eat a sword's worth of meat?

2. After watching Joe's on-camera interactions, none of the personal stuff that has been brought up is warranted IMO. I don't think he's out there putting on a show for the cameras. I just think he's an interesting personality. I think the "Joe Scream" is one of those things that has become a *tradition*. At one point, it was probably motivational. Now I think it's 25% real, 25% inside joke, 25% superstition, and 25% why not? The "who do I need to coach" comment is no big thing, because that's his role. Regardless of how he's playing, he's still out there to be an extension of the staff. I just wish he would take better angles, not whiff on so many tackles, and time up his blitzes better.

3. Sheldon Day's mom has become my favorite human, out of all humans. I want to hang out with her.

4. Jerry Tillery is going to do something huge some day for the benefit of humanity. Not sure if it will be during, after, or instead of a professional football career.

5. It's really cool to see all of the little, seemingly minuscule coaching lessons that the staff dials in on, how they relay those things to the players, and how the effect is felt so quickly. It's not a great example of the "miniscule" descriptor (can't remember the example I thought of last night), but one I keep coming back to is BK coaching up KeiVarae. Everyone knows he needs to look for the ball. BK relays that to him in a "tough love" way, "play the ball with your eyes or you won't play period." What does Russell do? He plays the ball with his eyes and gets a huge INT, followed by a huge tip that leads to an INT.

6. Mike Denbrock drips swag. He knows exactly what to say without being over-the-top. Calm, cool, and collected. That look and handshake with Fuller tho.

Let's hope he picks up his play then.

You can't be serious. He's a true freshman and he's been downright disruptive at times in a position that relies (possibly more than any other) on a college strength and conditioning program.

I think you're both being over the top. Yes, interior Lineman is almost impossible to be great at as a true freshman. But downright disruptive I wouldn't use for any of our DL besides Day this year.
