BK: Felt Fuller has been great with young guys like ESB. Fuller will talk to ESB before he goes in for reps.

BK: First time he has put on a red jersey on a RB in 25 years. Not thrilled Prosise in red jersey made it on Showtime.

BK: Impressed with Josh Adams intelligence and ability in picking up the offense.

BK: Kizer was running on fumes. Not used to being the QB at ND. Already noticed a bounce in his step after bye week. (Hit the track Kizer, damnit!)

BK: Not overly worried about road games in November. Shorter trips.

BK: Miles Boykin, Ashton White, MyKelti Williams (working with varsity), all freshmen DL are going to be good, but developmental right now.

BK: WR's wear GPS monitor that track output. Chris Browns output is unmatched.

BK: Team will practice at Mike McGlinchey's high school on Saturday morning.

That's awesome!! Jealous.

BK noted Temples winning football in the second half. Owls have out-scored opponents 137-29.

Ouch. While their competition hasn't been great, we've definitely been a second half team ourselves this year. Hopefully we can come out fast for once and build a lead. If it's tight going into halftime it may be tight till the end (Unless we wear them down).

Kelly laments: "we are who we are on defense relative to big plays allowed. Said safeties simply need to play better."

On big plays allowed, Irish have allowed three 70-yard plays this year. Only Indiana and UTEP have allowed more. YUCK.

Kelly said the tight end position is inexperienced but improving. It's a lot of developmental work. Credits Booker, Hiestand and Quinn.

Kelly asked about recruiting Philly, said it's a fertile area in noting Fuller, Adams and McGlinchey.

So no change to Mike. Didn't expect Joe to sit, but I thought they'd consider getting other guys a chance to get reps. IMO, that decision to not have anyone behind Joe ready to go is going to be an embarrassing one if we match up with OSU/LSU/Bama. If Joe's out manned against Navy, Bama will push him through the goal post and Henry will have a Lacy-esque day on the ground. I don't understand why they won't give other players a rep. What's the backup plan if Joe goes down? Season's over? Great planning, coach.

BK: Sebastian would be eligible for a 6th year with back to back years of injuries. Will see how he does over the next few weeks.
That would be ideal at this point, IMO. At this point, he's already going to miss 80% of the season.
BK: Doesn't want to take Joe Schmidt out of the lineup GAAAASSSSPPPPP. BVG & Kelly feel comfortable with Morgan, but want to get every snap out of Schmidt.
This is just not cool. If you're comfortable with the more athletic player, PLAY THE MORE ATHLETIC PLAYER!!!!

They say Morgan's doing well, so if the worst were to happen and we need Nyles to play, it might not be as bad as it was last year.

(I also contend that the defense falling apart last year wasn't as much about losing Joe as the coaches/analysts said, but that's a different debate)

It wasn't. It was about Jones and Day both being down and our DL being awful at the end.

and already missing multiple players to the frozen five, other injuries,... last season was a disaster in terms of defensive depth...
