“Went well, went real well,” Skyline head coach Chan Brock said.

“Coach Kelly is good. He’s doing a good job of recruiting him. He’s been doing it a long time and he was enlightening and engaging. Spent 40 minutes just talking about where we are as a program and what they see in Daelin, it went really well.”

They were recruiting him as a TE, have they switched now?

nothing noted on it...just what wiltfong said because someone was posting they thought osu and lsu would be the biggest threat...and then wiltfong said that msu was and loy stated he doubts hayes ever makes it to lsu

I'm confused and conflicted by this recruitment lol

Forget about it. Ever since he put out that pic of him loving ND with every fiber if his being.... then goes to USC and commits, I stopped following it. .Then the reports of him visiting USC just because he was nearby and he signs early enrollment papers.... lol

I hope we get him but definitely not on my list of must haves at this point.

I view this as an icing on the cake scenario. Great to have him but not the end of the world if we don't. If we can go 11-1, come December, I don't think we'll have to worry about it that much.

Me being the ultimate pessimist I am. I just have a feeling that this will not end the way we want it to. Simply based off of nothing. I'm probably just being too impatient

Still see this as a broken bat. And to be honest, if someone would pick a rathole, academic crapper like MSU over ND for anything, then they must really, really be stupid.

Most that pick MSU wouldn't getting serious offers elsewhere or are close to home.

Michigan State is hot right now. Top ten program and his home state. Not surprising if he would strongly consider them. As much as I hope he is in this class, I know that it's a long way from signing day and that anything is possible. Hope he's Irish but viewing this one personally from afar. Just hoping for the best.

We're always told, watch what a recruit does, not what he says. This appears, on the outside, to be a classic case. Says all the right things about ND, but commits to SC seemingly out of nowhere. Things appear to be trending back to ND, signs papers with SC. Decommits from SC and all accounts are ND is in driver's seat and all but a done deal, releases OVs to typical non-academic schools. Now MSU is a real player. Yeah, I'd love this kid, but I'd say 50/50 at this point would be the optimistic approach.

Things like this make zero sense. It isnt like MSU is a pro factory or something. ND has way more in the pros than MSU plus you leave with a degree actually worth something.

With that said, I will bet you this guy will be a career injury case. Bet wherever he goes doesnt get more than 1 to 2 years of non injured play from him.

Actually, looking around for Midwestern colleges for kids approaching that age, I asked a friend a few years back about schools. He is a tenured, published, renowned college professor, with an ND undergraduate degree. Years ago he coached football and taught in high school, until he completed his PhD. One of the first schools he mentioned was MSU, which he thought of as one of the top tier Bigot (Big10) schools, and probably the best value for the money.

MSU had an incredible freshman retention rate, while fielding competitive undergraduate programming, and a 17:1 student to teacher ratio, which is quite good. He also feels it is one of the better Public institutions - state schools. He talked about their education, bio-medical (formerly everything from animal husbandry to agricultural, to pre-veterinary programs,) their logistic, and process management programs etc.

Also Moo Uoo has some very highly rated graduate programs. Like with any school, you get out what you put in. But don't make any mistake, if you want to go for it, you can find a lot worse places to prep yourself than MSU. And one of the best held secrets in the Midwest is how hot the women are!

according to wiltfong---MSU is the biggest threat

He might have said biggest threat, but he didn't say how strong of a threat? That's the key. If we lead by like 75%, with MSU at 20% and LSU at 5%. MSU is the biggest threat, but maybe not a real threat?

Forget about it. Ever since he put out that pic of him loving ND with every fiber if his being.... then goes to USC and commits, I stopped following it. .Then the reports of him visiting USC just because he was nearby and he signs early enrollment papers.... lol

And yet here you are commenting on it. lol (just ribbing you Cacky)

As has been stated by many before, this kid loves the attention. Whomever is talking to him at that moment appears to be the flavor of the day. I suspect this will continue until the calendar has lost some pages and the day has come where he is forced to make a decision.
