This kid flies; and this kid hits like a freight train.

I don't know about not being fast. Or not having a burst.

But he owns the field, is unblockable, and brings the boom!

He is everything ND needs to grow its next All American!

Terrell Suggs has been the NFL DPOY and ran a 4.8 at the combine, and I see McCulloch used in a similar way, he'll be great IMO. Not all high level pass rushers have elite burst.

per tv--most feel he will end up at texas or a&m but ND is selling early playing time AND ND feels they have a shot...mom is coming on trip....this is his 1st visit to ND

Huge

For me its more of the distinction between burst and speed. There is a reason that scouts look at 10 yard splits for DL because they want to see the burst just as much as they want to see the player open and run. I think Suggs has a really good burst, but he just doesn't open up and run like a deer.

Like that momma is coming along. ND seems to always have a Huge impact on mom, not to mention you can't ask for a better atmosphere for a first time visit.

As stated earlier in this thread, I really want Mcculloch.

Some guys show the knack for making plays and he is one of them. I'm almost positive he'll be a starter for whichever program he chooses (not right away but within a couple years).

He just looks instinctual and loves to collide. Would love to add him to this class.

Anna asked for his impression. "It is the perfect fit for me, definitely. I knew that the second I stepped on campus and got around the players and the people and the coaches. It feels like home." He will visit Florida, Stanford, and Michigan. Will not cut list and will announce it UA game.

Very glowing review of visit with ISD as well. Says all the right things. Don't want to get my hopes up but my hopes are now up. If he leaves TX, I feel good about ND's chances.

"perfect fit" and "feels like home"

dont think you could ask for a better response really. Hopefully he means it.

Similar stuff from a BGI interview. Called it "absolutely magnificent" and said that "we'll be in it until the end", which, like Bighead stated is the UA game. Elston was in to check on him at his school yesterday. Making sure he's a priority. Interestingly enough and should work in our favor, mother isn't really big on football, on her end, she cares more about the academics. She asked about things like student to teacher ratio, which has to bode very well for ND relative to Florida, Texas, and the like.

“It was very good. It was very enlightening,” said McCulloch to Hamm. “There were a lot of stereotypes that I thought Notre Dame had. The bad ones were proved to be wrong, the good news proved to be correct.”

“That it was all Catholic and if you weren’t Catholic, you shouldn’t be there,” added McCulloch, regarding one of the negative stereotypes that was proved wrong.

“Meeting such an eclectic group of people,” said McCulloch, regarding the enlightened moment he felt. “It was a very diverse place and I really enjoyed that.”

“Outside of the stadium, where they do that walk to glory, player walk, and they walk into the stadium, those fans were electric,” said McCulloch. “They were calling out me and Daelin Hayes, saying we should be there already. We just walked in like we should already be one of the players.

“When I tell you those dudes are crazy, man,” said McCulloch, with a laugh. “Sitting outside in 35-degree weather with boxers on and their chests painted. They were crazy awesome.”

Sounds like a hell of an experience. You don't have an experience like that and just walk away.

Please Lord.

Any high school kid that can use the word "eclectic" correctly in a sentence is a definite WANT for me.

Hard to believe the US Army selection committee didn't see him as one of the top 8 OLB's in the country.

US Army selection isn't necessarily reflective of being in the top X number of a certain position. It's just as much about viewership and trying to get a fairly broad representation of states represented. Mike Golic Jr. was a US Army selection and I don't think he was considered highly rated, relatively speaking, coming out of high school.

Is this one pretty much a wrap? I haven't seen any positive news lately.

He's my most coveted MLB.

considered a long shot at best because most people have him pegged at a&m or texas...the people inside the gug feel they have a real shot w/ him--247
