'09 IN ATH Tyler Eifert (ND Verbal 7/8/08)

On a whim, I grabbed Eifert off the wire and played him over Vernon Davis. Happy with that choice.

I drafted him as like the 5th TE off the board in one league. All my buddies laughed and talked shit.

That's awesome! I feel like we were rewarded for being loyal lol. Nice to get Gronk like numbers from someone other than Gronk. I hope he keeps this up all season.

Eifert is a beast but i think youre forgetting Gronk, and Jimmy Graham is pretty damn good too

Graham had 6 receptions and a TD yesterday for the Seahawks. He didn't look done to me...

Oh... and the Saints went 1-4 in the redzone yesterday. Surely a coincidence...

done was a harsh word i guess. I just don't see him being as dominant as he was with Brees a few years ago. Sean got rid of him just in time.

Still don't understand it, but Graham was getting no second round love in any of my fantasy drafts. Don't know why everyone thinks he's fallen off.

Damn, thats rough. After week 1 he's been in the category of start every week for me. He was about to go undrafted in my league and I took him with the last pick of the draft. Crazy good value there, lol.

Is he the second best TE in the league now? It's only been 1/2 of a productive season but it should definitely be under consideration, right?

And in terms of his value to the offense, he might be the best, period.

I saw a graph earlier about Dalton's numbers passing between the hashes and how he hasn't thrown a pick in the middle of the field yet, compared to 11 last season. The entire reason for that is Eifert, IMO. He catches balls down the seam, or he clears out the defenders and let's Green/Sanu/Jones find space in the middle. It's amazing the difference he makes, because Cincy couldn't do that last year.

He's played 1 more game and has 2 more TDs. Not to bad. Gronk is the top guy in NE, Eifert is the 3rd in Cincinnati. It would be nice if he got more looks otside of the red zone.
