I'm sorry, man, Ben Carson has no business in the Oval office. None. He is a fucking crazy person.

Dude you are so biased against anyone who falls under the name "Republican" that its comical. Ben Carson is a character guy, but you have him labeled as a crazy man because you disagree with his politics. I cannot take much of anything you say seriously.

And I get sick of hearing about how Obama does not or Clinton did not have experience blah blah blah..... because it is a pointless criticism. You know what. No one has experience being the leader of the free world. No one. You may disagree with how they have done their jobs in politics previously but the fact is that both Obama and Hilary have had executive and leadership positions prior to their ascendancy. Whatever. I get it you hate Dems and can't wait to go tit for tat for whatever point someone makes.

OTOH I appreciate it. Its not everyday I get commended for being pragmatic. Yeah, revenge does not do anything to help. Ever. So I don't concern myself with it too much nor wish ill on others. Except Michigan. Fuck Michigan.

AMEN BROTHER!

I don't think so. I am biased against corrupt, cronyist lap dogs who do and say whatever to get elected so they can screw over the American public. That is pretty much all politicians except Bernie Sanders. Now Ben Carson is not a politician and has yet to even be able to provide a straight answer or policy position when asked. He believes the world is 6000 years old. That is literally insane. So yeah I have zero respect for Carson specifically because he rejects our shared and well understood reality as well as holds an promulgates many other ridiculous and baseless "opinions"

I don't think I meant revenge as maybe you took it...more poetic justice, Karma...and EVERYONE enjoys that. As I've said 100 times...I'm not a Carson guy. If it happened I said I'd cringe...but at the same time I'd laugh at the shrieks from the left.
Certainly I recognize Carson has an experience gap...

Also the tit for tat is because you departed from your normal savagery of the man on the basis of sanity, and ventured into the land of experience. It'd be different if you were coming at it like...hey, I learned my lesson on the last one...no more Rookies. So the hypocrisy is a little too much, quite honestly...

As for the importance of executive experience...You gotta be kidding. It damn well matters. It is a Skill you develop...and somewhere along the line people confuse/conflate executive skill with simple Charisma...and here we are.

Now, for argument's sake, (because I indeed recognize Mr. Carson's lack of experience) lets compare Obama to Carson

...being elected to legislative office is not executive in nature. Any executive experience Mr. Obama had was very limited, and not the kind that keeps you up at night...for damned sure. He was/is charismatic...and has experience from a legislative perspective on a number of issues. In contrast Mr. Carson was director of pediatric neurosurgery...see the word Director ...it means you oversee and make decisions you alone are accountable for...(ie you don't get to vote present or sit it out when shit gets politically charged) In Carson's case life and death kinds of decisions start to approach the weightiness of the presidency. His was executive experience that builds the skill. Mr Obama's was simply...NOT...until 7 years ago. So the critical skill boils down, for me, to be the executive experience you bring, because the real truth is every president brings in the subject matter experts...it is what you do with that information...what you use as a framework for decision making that promulgates timely, effective policy and/or responses...THATS the experience that matters most.

Finally, I hadn't really touched on Mrs. Clinton, but you want to bring her into this fine...She is a character black hole ideological thugs continually try to force feed on the American people by attacking those who see her for what she is...Her experience is certainly better on paper...but so too would be Lucky Luciano's executive experience (no she isn't a killer...if you know Luciano's claim to fame, then you know what I'm saying). I hear and think about arguments regarding why Joe Biden works, or even other more "fringy" characters...but Hillary support is far more ridiculous than even support for Trump....has nothing to do with her supposed experience.

So.... being the director of a hospital department is somehow more executive than a Senator Secretary of State? Hmmmm. I don't think I agree there.

You are right. We don't need another rookie. Let's talk experience. Zo who is not a rookie?

Let's see....

Rubio...young senator. Same boat as Obama 2008
Trump.... politically inept. Working with people not.his forte.
Fiorina....CEO limited to no political experience.
Christie...Governor+1 ok. Corrupt but at least he has governor experience
Paul... experienced Senator though no alienating parts of the Republicans
Huckabee.... lol
Walker... governor... gone
Bush.... governor ...ok....probably the most experienced.
Carson.... Zero political experience
Cruz...what a turd.
Graham.... long term Senator with lots of bipartisan dealings. Won't get a shot because he is gay.
Perry.... governor... gone.
Kasich.... lots of experienced. I like him.

So... of these, Bush, Kasich, Graham and Christe followed by Paul and Rubio are your most experienced. Based on your logic and complaints of Obama and HRC, Christie is no good because he is corrupt, Rubio and Paul have as much Senate experience as Obama did (maybe a bit more or less), and Graham won't sniff the ballot box because of character issues important to the base. That leaves Kasich and Bush who care experienced and capable of working together with the other side.

Experience has a place. Not saying it is the most important thing but doing what your advisors tell you is also very dangerous so I would like to see someone strong willed as well as well advised.

...And AMAZINGLY go look back and see if you can see my top three...OMG! I would not characterize the others quite as dismissively as you, but you got there...so good on ya.

Didn't say good executives do what the SMEs say...you use them for their understanding, for nuance and then you make executive decisions based on your framework, reason, logic, values...

So you agree the social conservatives/evangelicals who want to run the country as a pseudo-theocracy can get bent?

All of the candidates who lined up to support that dumb broad in Kentucky can exit the race anytime now.

I agree that any elected official who believes in anything that violates our Constitution should get bent. For example, we know Huckabee is anti gay marriage, but I haven't heard him say anything about wanting to use executive orders to strike down gay marriage.

As a conservative/ libertarian leaning guy, I say get the feds out of marriage 100% since it's not in the Constitution and let the states handle it as they wish. Pretty simple.

I know execution and character matter to me...If someone has been a State Level executive...there is no better AAA ball for the presidency. I certainly understand the disdain for DC, and so called establishment politicians, however, it is my hope the disdain is reserved for the people who deserve it...people who are DC fixtures. Governors rarely are. In the other connotation of establishment, ie a pupet of...those who've sold their soul to get the job...It is a danger on both sides. Folks can clammer for Bernie, and sing his praises...I do not think he'll even be a consideration for the right...because I believe he won't be the Democrat nominee.

Perhaps you are right, here, but what about THIS?

If it came down to a choice between Carson and Clinton, which of your principles would you compromise?

If that was my choice.... I would not vote. I am not a HRC supporter and I would go as far as to say that she will never get my vote. Compound the fact that I live in SC so my non republican vote means dick ... Kasich could get my vote against HRC and I am a fairly progressive person, but I also realise our trajectory is certainly unsustainable.

I won't compromise my principles.

Haha. Possibly. I am most assuredly not conservative and most assuredly anti-establishment for politics and crony capitalism. I am pretty sure that makes me a CHAOS.

CAN'T HONESTLY ACCEPT OUR STATE

Neurosurgeon = "stupid moron"?

Right

Oh and thanks for the Daily Kos article

I read a report on how seemingly intelligent people can still reject factual and evidence based conclusions that don't fit their preeconceived or dogmatic ideas of reality

That doesn't mean they are not smart

If there were a day for Hillary to admit her wrongdoings with the server, today or tomorrow would be it. No one would know given all the crazy shit going on today.
