This is like Bars taking over for Stanley. I'd feel confident in Bars, who looks like a future NFL guy in his own right, but he's not going to perform right away at the same level.
yup

Bummed USC lost... Now if ND wins out, their only "top 25 win" could be Stanford or Pitt... not a great resume from a "non conference champ"
Last week's Sagarin Predictor would make Southern Cal a 4 point favorite. I expect his new predictions will make the spread closer to pick'em.
I know it's still very early, but the forecast for Saturday night in South Bend is looking mighty favorable for our beloved Irish:

Love it!
I do wish USC had beaten Washington, but in the end I don't really care. I just want to beat USC. I don't care if they're 5-0 or 0-5, I want to beat them just as badly. I'm not worried so much about SoS, because if OSU can get into the playoff with 1 loss playing their garbage ass schedule we have hope. Hell TCU/Baylor almost got in last year and their schedules were even worse than OSU's.
Can anyone help me understand what's propping USC up in FPI? They're all the way up at #5. FWIW, we're also a bit over ranked by that metric at #8 (ahead of Clemson among others).
Not looking forward to watching Joe Schmidt play in this game.

What are you asking us for? Pop your head over the cubicle and ask the guy who puts it together.
Priceless!
