Purely speculation on my part but this could be one of those "pretend like I have a committable offer from ND to get more offers" situations.

LOL i look forward to his reasoning for choosing IU over ND then

Former UAB back visited ND this month but had not been admitted. RT @JHoward_7: @iBALLinNikes it's between Indiana and Vanderbilt

So he can qualify to transfer to Vandy but not ND? Idiotic.

I'm not saying Vandy is as hard to get into as ND but it's not like Vandy is a chump academic institution. I'm to the point where I pray Kelly stays as long as he can b/c who the hell wants to deal w/ this crap in the times CFB is played now? Adapt or die.

When I was getting recruited in the early 2000's Woody Widenhofer ( Vanderbilt ) dropped me immediately after he saw my transcripts. Good Ole' Bob Davie at least made think there was a glimmer of hope for like a week lol. I was most Definitely a athlete student not a student athlete. my grades BLEW

Edit: I did not have offers from Vandy or ND to be clear, just went through the recruiting process.

Do you know all the details? Or is it better just to blame ND and be pissed off despite not knowing whats really going on?

For example, is Vandy really an option? Just last week, after being told ND was no longer an option, Howard still claimed a top 2 of ND and Indiana. Also, what was his major at UAB? There's a great chance that he has credits that won't transfer to ND bc ND doesn't carry his major, while Vandy might.

Or it could be that we're shooting ourselves in the foot here. Point is, nobody knows.

UAB is not a stellar academic institution. It has a great medical center. I have relatives with UAB degrees and they say the same. I know a couple of profs who were counseled over the years for being "hard" on athletes. They required them to perform like other students.

There are some UAB students that would thrive in an ND academic environment. Most wouldn't, particularly the athletes. Jordan Howard may be the exception but unless he is - on his own, his college academics likely mirror those taking the path of least resistance.

They replaced the nation's 2nd leading rusher with the nation's 10th leading rusher. Good on them.

However, it'll be interesting to see if he was just a product of playing against weak competition.

Having an awesome year for Indiana, believe he's second in the country in yards.

He's first actually.

Not to nitpick. I go to IU currently, Howard is a beast. Going to play on Sundays and tear it up

iu is about to beat #1 to go 5-0 foh

I would love to see it happen, but it won't.

This is the weekend that IU media takes the photo of the packed stadium filled with red.
