It was awful. To be honest, really not a whole lot out there. I like Gus. Brady Quinn is decent PbP from the little that I've heard. The duo that I like the most is Brad Nessler and Todd Blackledge.

Agreed 100%, Nessler and Herbie would bring back the big game feel to ABC. I love Fowler but he gets nobody excited for the biggest game of the day/night

I think that might be correct, actually. The PA announcer at Notre Dame Stadium does the same thing.

The thing that drove me crazy last week was when they kept calling the Georgia Tech offense a "spread option." Over and over and over again.

But his call during the Shark's TD at the end of '06 UCLA makes me smile when I think of it.

Why isn't Hammond doing horseracing or something else he may be qualified for? I'm all for charity projects but he's just not salvageable. At least make a football-challenged announcer entertaining like David Feherty.

Why not promote Kathryn Tappen as analyst?

David Robinson is someone I'd like to see roaming the sidelines, interviewing coaches.

Thanks, spoon. I wasn't paying attention at the time, as with most of Hammond's and Flutie's discussions. I did when Mayock gave his analyses. Vilma and Hines seem to be window dressing.

If you are really good (Keith Jackson) you stand out, but unless you are brutal and are butchering people's names or not paying attention, I don't really care. Mayock I enjoyed... apparently most didn't.. Flutie doesn't bother me

Hicks and Flutie have boring voices. That's their problem. I mean a Kraken could come up through the turf on fourth and 3 and they'd quietly be like... "Well do you punt, go for it or evacuate the stadium?"
