I always knew he'd play on Sundays I just didn't know it'd be at running back.

Prosise was Mark May's prime time performer or whatever it's called. Said it's tied for the second longest run in MD history.

Make me wonder if he could've been doing this for a couple years? Either way, I'm glad Kelly and staff finally found a position for this stud.

It's remarkable how good his vision is for someone who's only played a couple of games at running back. I hope he wins the Heisman

I have no idea, but for some reason it made me crack up so much. Not that its a ridiculous statement or anything, but just seemed so random and thrown in at the end of your statement for the hell of it. Fuck it, I hope so too hahaha have some reps.

I don't know if it's been mentioned, but did CJ play any other sports in high school? I know there's that video where he dunked that basketball, but was he a part of the team?

The reason I ask is I know Urban has been targeting more multi-sport athletes to play skill positions in Columbus and it's worked out well in comparison to players that only focused on football. I'm curious if CJ is in that same boat. Golden Tate was certainly one of those players too, but I have no idea how many of our current players were 2 or 3 sport athletes prior to ND.

An athlete is an athlete whether it's football, base ketball, baseball,... work, life in general. We just try to keep it simple and recruit the smart ones whom have ego and the simple stuff no one wants to talk about.

Off top of my head: Kizer was a multi-sport athlete. Jarron Jones was like all-upstate-New York in basketball. Torii Hunter played enough baseball to get drafted. The departed Golson was an elite basketball player. Chris Brown holds the South Carolina record in triple jump. I'm sure there are more.

Also, fwiw, this article says 85% of our 2014 recruiting class were multi-sport athletes...
85% of NFL Draft picks from the last two years were multi-sport athletes in HS

I think "pretty good" athletes specialize in the hopes of getting a scholarship. I think elite athletes play whatever they want, because they know they'll get a scholarship.

That was my note a few pages back. He has some big holes to run though (which is never a given), but his vision reminds me of a combo of Lee Becton and Julius Jones.

Thanks so much! Where do you find this stuff? Would love to brush up on the record book!

Edit: Tried to give you reps but apparently I have to spread it!

Thanks for trying!

CJ was 16th in rushing yardage after week 2 and should take a big jump this week.

Yes. Remember a reporter at the beginning of the season called him a dark house candidate. Another week like this one and he will be squarely in the race.

I agree that another week will help, but I would not be surprised if he became a serious contender this week. Cardale Jones and Zeke Elliot were terrible. Derek Henry had 127 and 1 TD in a loss. Kessler threw for 273 and 3 TD's in a loss (Juju may have been better). Deshawn Watson threw for 199 with 2 TD's and 2 INT's. Boynkin from TCU had a huge game against SMU, throwing for 5 and rushing for 1. I think that CJ should be in the top 5 this week, but I am not sure if I missed anyone.

Right now Fuller is getting all the attention... It is rare for a team to have two candidates so CJ won't get the love unless he continues averaging a 150 rushing yards a game

Too many pages to go back through. Will CJ exhaust his eligibility after this season, or does he have one more year that he could play?

Any word on if he was hurt, tight, or dinged? He aired it out in the second half which made me feel better. In the first half, he looked tentative like something was wrong and they mentioned him getting his back worked on.

When he went to the locker to get whatever treatment he received he went in at a pretty comfortable looking jog and wasn't in there more than 5 minutes or so.

Voted.

But honestly just the fact he's up there with the UGA and LSU guy is pretty cool. Both of those performances were phenomenal. Hogan, meh.....
