Need this kid getting 10+ touches a game. I've been a believer since his first carry against Stanford that he can be our best playmaker. Need him on kick returns, 230 lbs and all.

You guys are getting all worked up over the same hype we've heard every year. Bigger, faster, wow, woosh, blah blah blah.

Prosise will get 1-hand off in the first game. 2nd game he'll miss a blitz pick-up, get benched, then Kelly will call 50+ straight pass plays.

Word. I'll be the first to admit, those initial pics of summer workouts where everyone gained 10 new muscles and slashed a second off their 40 time from running on Longo beach always get me hyped..

Last year, Max showed us his 34 pack and we all went "Oooh I feel bad for the receivers on our schedule!!". Then he proceeded to dismiss assignments and all he did was look good without a jersey on.. (Until the end of the season, of course). Oops there I go again.

Yeah, weight gains and 40 times do nothing for me. Lets see the results on the field first and I'll get excited.

My comment was based upon everything CJ has been doing. The general direction he has been heading. AND the fact that it doesn't take a genius to see that Mike Sanford will inherit the offense sooner than later, and Mike, (unlike in recent ND past), will exploit his players skills.

And that is quite understandable, especially as a fan of this team and knowing its history. The reason I am excited is that this kid is building off of an incredie performance where he got the edge for 50 yards against LSU. Being that size and keeping his speed should tranate into something special, but of course we will have to wait and see.

Lol I love that video. You would think he dunked from the foul line, the way the kids reacted.

This kid is really starting to impress me. For those old enough, he reminds me of Vegas Ferguson. Not a bad guy to be compared to.

He had some massive holes to run through, but his vision is what seems outstanding.

Provsise is on pace for a huge season approaching 2000 yards. Keep feeding this kid the rock and ND will win a lot of games.

CJ is doing excellent work, he is finding the holes well, following his blocks well, and makes great cuts but the only thing that scares me is when that final hit comes when you have to lower your pads and nail the guy in front of you because there is no other choice. Cj seems to fall wierd take wierd angles something like a wide reciever would do. I would like to see CJ bull someone into the ground make them his b!*(h.

He'd need nearly 160 yards a game from here on out. A Kelly RB has eclipsed 160 yards in a game only once in 5+ seasons.

I am not saying he will eclipse 2000 yards, but I do think that barring injury he will be closer to 2000 than 1000 -- perhaps 1500 or 1600 yards after the bowl games.

One thing I'd like him to do different, switch the ball to the other hand when necessary. He rarely does.

It's time for CJ to put the team on his back. Need him to be an animal the rest of the way.

On his run up the right sideline late in the game, he left it in his left hand the whole run. Completely unprotected. I noticed the same on a run vs Texas.

It something I have never seen him do once. While Folston did it like it was second nature. I guess just more reps will help him. I also thinks he carries the ball incredibly loose.

I love the way he's produced this year, but every time he gets loose all I can see is Golson's running form.
