Zaire will likely never start again if Kizer performs well. It's not like Malik was our starter last year.
He took over for Golson last year and was MVP of the bowl game in his first start. He deserves more credit than that, although I do hope Kizer knocks it out of the park this season. It would be great for his own game, and great for the team of course.
Well it's confirmed malik is done for the year

I'm just saying I don't think he earned the right to keep the spot by default.
Dude, you're in shock and know not what you say. "It's likely"? How do even figure those odds with your position within the Irish Football community?
Also, if he didn't "earn the right to keep the spot by default" then you are saying that it's likely that Kizer will beat him out next year when it's open competition... just like it is every year.
Come on man. Watch what you say when people are hurting.
I'm with Crusader here. I don't think you're completely incorrect. Kizer could wind up with a lot of experience this year and we could have ourselves a Cardale/JT Barrett situation next year if Kizer does well, but it's too early to tell any of that. Zaire just went down, he's hurting, the team's hurting, the fan base is hurting. It's probably better to wish him well and good luck to Kizer until we know more.
What is MZ's eligibility situation? He should have had 3 years to play 3 seasons correct? Can he medical this year for a 6th?
No. That's not what the 6th year hardship is designed for. So he has 2 to play 2. '16 & '17.
Welp that blows, what's the hardship for then?
He would have to miss two seasons due to injury (or some other hardship such as the taking care of a sick family member).

It doesn't sound as bad as I thought it was going to be. Surgery tomorrow. Minor ligament damage and a broken fibula. I was afraid some of the smaller bones were going to be busted up in the foot and some major ligament damage do to it rolling inside and spinning. That Vine going around is gnarly.
Heal up Lefty!
That's encouraging! Where did you hear this?
His father posted this on Facebook. Said crack in fibula and a slight tear in ankle ligament. Surgery soon.
Surgery is done. They feel the ligament damage wasn't that bad, same with the break.
4-5 month total recovery time. He'll be ready for spring.
All in all, good news.
