I am looking for new podcasts to subscribe to. Sports, politics, tech, business, stocks... Whatever and I would appreciate some suggestions.

EDIT: I will update as new ones are suggested.

INTERVIEWS
Aisha Taylor- Girl on Guy
The Joe Roagan Experience
Mohr Stories
SModcast

ALL THINGS NERD
Nerdist
Radiolab
Mike and Tom Eat Snacks

JUST DO IT
Spartan Race

POLITICS
The Young Turks-Progressive News
Slate

SPORTS
ISD
BGI
Guardian Football
Second Captains Football
ESPN: NBA Lockdown (mostly just ESPN talking heads regurgitating the same stuff about the NBA)
BS Report (sadly, it's gone, but I haven't removed it from my app yet)
Irish Illustrated (they do awesome work)
Move the Sticks Podcast (Daniel Jeremiah is a former scout and is very knowledgeable)
Around the NFL Podcast (lots of recaps during the season, great chemistry between everyone. Funny guys, but if you don't like the humor, it's not for you)
Dave Dameshek Podcast (Biggest homer I've ever heard but he gets some good players to interview sometimes)
ISD Power hour (my favorite ND podcast, especially now that they have Brian Reegan on)
One Foot Down podcast (comes out less frequently, but still good to listen to for ND fans)
Ross Tucker Football Podcast (different persepective, and he knows a lot of guys. He does a bit of everything too, including a Fantasy Football podcast, which isn't that bad either)
The Lowe Post (Zach Lowe talking basketball. If you like the NBA, you will probably like this podcast)

MONEY
Freakonomics

CULTURE
In Our Time
This American Life
How did This Get Made
Serial
Hardcore History
Medieval Archives (It's fine, but nothing special)
Stuff You Missed in History Class (To me, very hit or miss)
When Diplomacy Fails (awesome stuff. Very in depth)

RELIGION/THEOLOGY

Busted Halo (By a Paulist Father, Dave Dwyer. Not bad but probably my least favorite podcast I listen to. He has a lot of competition though)
Catholic Answers (Radio show podcast, I enjoy it, but it's not for everyone)
Catholic Stuff You Should Know (Very bright priests in Colorado shit talking each other and talking about random things about Catholicism. Has gotten much better within the past year)
Lanky Guys (friends of the CSYSK guys; they go over the weekly readings, but lots of chatter as well)
Three Dogs North (Decent, but they're on hiatus now, because of their schedule; I think they're still seminarians)
Word On Fire (Easily the best of this group. Father Robert Barron really knows his stuff and isn't a pain to listen to like others. Very enjoyable 15 minute homilies over the readings each week)

COMEDY
Comedy Bang Bang

MISCELLANEOUS
Grain of Salt (Chefs interviewed etc, still haven't checked it out too much tbh)
I'll Drink to That (Same but with wine, still need to check it out)
Never Not Funny (Jimmy Pardo's podcast. Funny guy and he gets good guests)
Off the Air (Chick McGee's podcast. I'm a fan, although I find some of the podcasts blah).

I listen to Irish Sports Daily and the Blue and Gold Illustrated podcasts for my weekly Irish football fix. The Freakonomics podcast is pretty interesting and has a deep back catalogue. And my go to daily car ride podcast is the Tony Kornheiser radio show (though he is on vacation right now).

Irish illustrated is very good.
Blue and gold is ok if you can get over the fact that Lou says the word "there" every three words.

"In our Time" with Melvyn Bragg on BBC Radio 4.

The best part is that it's been going for close to a decade so there is a massive archive on all sorts of topics.

I was on a beer tasting podcast this weekend. I have to check and see if I sound like a complete idiot. If not, I will recommend it here.

I listen to Comedy Bang Bang... the Earwolf network has some good stuff I'd recommend everyone check it out.

I appreciate the input guys... keep it coming.

Do y'all see any value if I compile a list of recommendations in the OP? Obviously the list could get pretty long but it would also allow people to quickly grab some titles .... Would that be too much to see first opening up the thread?

I definitely love the Spartan Race. Its all kinds of "get off your ass and get some shit done with no excuses" interviews. I am training for one right now and it is probably the most motivating 30 minutes of my day listening to it.

Maybe title and like a one line description just so people kinda have an idea of what they are getting into.

I thought this was a show/TV series? Or do they do a podcast too?

I've been meaning to look it up. I'm a huge Kid Cudi fan, and apparently he's been killing it as a regular on Comedy Bang Bang so far.

I listen to a lot of podcasts, so I'll try to break them up by genre:

Sports:
BGI Radio (not bad, but if Coach D wasn't on it so often, I probably wouldn't be subscribed)

Word On Fire (Easily the best of this group. Father Robert Barron really knows his stuff and isn't a pain to listen to like others. Very enjoyable 15 minute homilies over the readings each week)

History

Dan Carlin's Hardcore History (He also has a current events podcast called Common Sense. Carlin is great; if you can get past his voice, you'll love the podcast)
Medieval Archives (It's fine, but nothing special)
Stuff You Missed in History Class (To me, very hit or miss)
When Diplomacy Fails (awesome stuff. Very in depth)

Miscellaneous

Grain of Salt (Chefs interviewed etc, still haven't checked it out too much tbh)

Radiolab is the best. It's amazing.

I also like Skeptics Guide to the Universe. Also, StarTalk, of course...

Science Friday, when I miss the show.
Science Talk from Scientific American is great, too.

Science and Nature each have a podcast, but I haven't listened to them in a bit. They're good. I just don't have the time.

Smodcast and Mike and Tom Eat Snacks should both just be under comedy.

Fat Man on Batman is a good one for the interview category

2 college football ones I forgot to add.

The Audible - Bruce Feldman and Stewart Mandel

Championship Drive - Ivan Maisel

All 3 of those dudes are pretty smart, informative and even-handed.

The Economist all audio and their Babbage tech podcast are really good, too.

60 second science and 60 second earth are short and informative.

I cannot say enough positive things about Hardcore History by Dan Carlin. His serieseses on World War II's Eastern Front ("Ghosts of the Ostfront"), Mongols ("Wrath of the Kahns"), World War I ("Blueprint for Armageddon") are all amazing. Really it's all great but those are the best in my opinion.

r/askhistorians' biggest criticism was that he relies too much on primary sources, whereas many things in history are best viewed a generation later. Regardless, do yourselves a favor and download his stuff.

His political podcast, Common Sense, is also fantastic. He's a unique view, as a staunch liberal with no faith in government.
